This 6-day tour starts in Rome and finishes back there after exploring southern Italy’s stunning coast. You’ll travel by high-speed train to Naples, where you can savour authentic pizza and wander the lively streets. The journey continues with a guided tour of the ancient ruins at Pompeii, followed by time in charming Sorrento. A highlight is a boat trip to the beautiful island of Capri, including a chance to see the famous Blue Grotto. You’ll also visit the picturesque towns of Positano and Amalfi, soaking up breathtaking coastal views and local history before returning to Rome.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Rome - Naples
On arrival at Termini Station around 8:00 a.m., meet your assistant who will accompany you to the high-speed train bound for Naples. Should you prefer, a private transfer from centrally located hotels in Rome can be arranged. Upon reaching Naples, you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is yours to explore the city at your leisure and savour its renowned local cuisine, including authentic Neapolitan pizza. Overnight stay in Naples.
Day 2 - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and meet your driver at 10:00 am for a transfer to Pompeii. We will take you on a guided tour of the archaeological site, where the ancient Roman city was preserved under volcanic ash following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. After exploring the ruins, we transfer you to Sorrento, known for its charming old town and the traditional fishing village of Marina Grande, a genuine local treasure. A local assistant will welcome you at the hotel during check-in. You have the rest of the day to settle in and enjoy the town at your leisure. Overnight in Sorrento.
Day 3 - Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento
After breakfast, we depart at 7:30 a.m. for Sorrento’s port, where you will meet your guide and board a traditional Gozzo Sorrentino boat to sail to Capri. Upon arrival, we take a scenic boat tour around the island, with the option to visit the Blue Grotto, weather permitting. Once ashore, we continue by minibus to explore the island and reach the famous Piazzetta, the vibrant heart of Capri. You will then have some free time to discover the island at your own pace before returning to the port and sailing back to Sorrento for an overnight stay.
Day 4 - Sorrento - Positano - Amalfi
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and depart at 10:30 a.m. for Amalfi. En route, we will pause for two hours in Positano, often called the jewel of the Amalfi Coast, where you can explore its charming streets and coastal views. Afterwards, we continue to Amalfi, a town steeped in history that lends its name to the entire coastline. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Day 5 - Amalfi
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day at your leisure to explore Amalfi and its surroundings at your own pace. Take the time to appreciate the stunning coastal views, visit local shops, or simply relax in this charming town. Overnight in Amalfi.
Day 6 - Amalfi - Naples - Rome
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning in Amalfi to soak up the atmosphere or explore at your own pace. Around 3:00 pm, we transfer you to Naples where a local assistant will meet you at the train station to assist with boarding the high-speed train to Rome.
