Day 1 - Arrival in Tokyo

Once you have arrived at Narita International Airport, you will be met and transferred on a shared transfer to your accommodation. The rest of the day will be at your leisure to start exploring, grab a meal or relax.
Day 2 - Asakusa Walking Tour

This morning or afternoon, you will have the choice of when you would like to start your free walking tour of Asakusa, with departures at either 10:00 AM or 2:40 PM near Asakusa Police Station.
During your 2.5-hour tour, you will wander through the streets of Asakusa towards Sumida Park. In spring, the riverside park comes to life with more than 700 cherry blossom trees lining the banks of the Sumida River.
You will visit the iconic Kaminarimon, also known as the “Thunder Gate”, before continuing through Hozomon Gate into Sensoji Temple, one of Tokyo’s oldest and most important Buddhist temples.
Along the way, you will explore Nakamise Dori, a traditional shopping street filled with local snacks, handmade crafts, and souvenirs that reflect generations of Tokyo’s history.
You will also visit the peaceful Asakusa Shrine, known for its close connection to Sensoji Temple and its importance within Shinto tradition.
Your tour concludes outside the famous Don Quijote Asakusa store. Afterwards, you may wish to continue shopping or spend more time sightseeing in the area at your own pace.
Day 3 - Tokyo at Leisure

After breakfast, you will have the day free to explore at your own pace. You may wish to stroll through bustling markets, browse artisanal shops, or relax in a quiet café while soaking up the local atmosphere.
This afternoon, you can choose to visit museums, unwind in a scenic park, or simply wander through the town discovering hidden corners and local highlights along the way.
As evening falls, you may wish to sample the local cuisine at a charming bistro or trendy restaurant. Enjoy dinner at your leisure .
Day 4 - Tokyo to Hakone

Tokyo - Odawara - Hakone. Today, you depart from Tokyo using your Japan Rail Pass, heading to Odakyu Shinjuku Station to board the Odakyu Odawara Line Express. The journey to Odawara Station takes around 30-35 minutes, where you transfer to the local Hakone Tozan Railway to reach Hakone-Yumoto Station - the main gateway to the valley.
On arrival, your 2-day Hakone Freepass covers the area's best-known attractions. You may wish to ride the Hakone Ropeway, cruise across Lake Ashi, visit local art museums, explore historic shrines, or relax in one of the area's famous onsen hot springs.
After a day of sightseeing, you can unwind in a traditional hot spring bath before settling into your Hakone accommodation for the evening. Tonight, you can enjoy a local dinner and peaceful mountain surroundings as you experience the slower pace of Hakone.
Day 5 - Hakone to Kyoto
Hakone - Kyoto. You will depart from Hakone aboard the famous Shinkansen, travelling through the Japanese countryside towards Kyoto using your Japan Rail Pass. Along the way, you may catch views of Mount Fuji, rice paddies, and traditional villages as the scenery changes between regions.
On arrival in Kyoto, you will check into your accommodation before having the rest of the day free to explore at your own pace. You may wish to wander through the historic streets of Gion, visit Kyoto’s famous temples and shrines, or relax in one of the city’s peaceful gardens.
This evening, you can settle into your hotel and enjoy Kyoto’s elegant atmosphere. You may also wish to sample traditional kaiseki cuisine or take a stroll along the Kamogawa River.
Day 6 - Gion Walking Tour

After breakfast, you will have the choice of starting your Gion walking tour at 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM, or 8:45 PM.
During your two-hour tour, you will explore the cobbled streets of Kyoto’s historic Gion district while learning about the traditions of Geiko and Maiko from your guide. Along the way, you will pass traditional teahouses, preserved machiya townhouses, and small boutique shops hidden within the district’s narrow lanes.
You will also stop at the famous Hõkan Ji Pagoda, one of Kyoto’s most recognisable landmarks and a symbol of Kyoto’s historic past.
Your tour includes a visit to Kennin-ji, Kyoto’s oldest Zen temple, where you will have approximately 30 minutes to experience its peaceful gardens and surroundings. You will also discover Chion-in Temple, known for its impressive grounds and important national treasures.
If you choose one of the later departures, you will experience Gion as the lantern-lit streets begin to glow in the evening, creating one of Kyoto’s most atmospheric settings for a walk through the district.
At the end of your tour, your guide will provide recommendations for local restaurants, bars, and activities to help you make the most of your time in Kyoto.
Day 7 - Free Day in Kyoto

This morning, you will have the day free to explore Kyoto at your own pace. You may wish to visit the peaceful gardens of Kiyomizu-dera Temple or head to Arashiyama to walk through its famous bamboo groves.
Later, you can experience the atmosphere of Nishiki Market, where you may wish to sample local street food, browse for souvenirs, or relax in a traditional tea house. Alternatively, you can spend time exploring the historic streets of Kyoto’s Gion district.
As evening falls, you may wish to stroll through the lantern-lit streets of Pontocho, admire the views along the Kamo River, or enjoy Kyoto-style dining at one of the city’s many local restaurants.
Day 8 - Kyoto to Hiroshima
Kyoto - Hiroshima. You will depart from Kyoto on the Japan Rail bullet train heading for the dynamic city of Hiroshima, watching the scenery change as you travel through the Japanese countryside.
On arrival, the rest of the day will be free for you to explore at your own pace. You may wish to visit Peace Memorial Park, sample Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, explore the city’s shopping streets, or relax in one of Hiroshima’s peaceful gardens.
After checking into your accommodation, you may also wish to take an evening stroll along the Motoyasu River and enjoy the city’s reflective atmosphere before your overnight stay.
Day 9 - Hiroshima E-Bike Tour

Today, you will have the choice of meeting your guide at either 11:00 AM or 3:00 PM for your Hiroshima e-bike tour.
Shortly after meeting (11:05 AM or 3:05 PM), you will begin exploring Hiroshima’s important historical sites, including the iconic Atomic Bomb Dome and surrounding memorials, while learning about the events that shaped the city more than 70 years ago.
As the tour continues (12:00 PM or 4:00 PM), you will cycle beyond the main tourist areas to discover lesser-known heritage sites and the famous A-bombed streetcars that survived the bombing. Along the way, your guide will share stories of Hiroshima’s history, recovery, and modern-day culture as you ride through the city’s tree-lined streets.
Throughout the tour, you will experience Hiroshima’s remarkable transformation and resilient spirit while enjoying an easy and accessible way to explore the city by e-bike.
Your tour concludes back at the original meeting point at either 1:00 PM or 5:00 PM.
Day 10 - Hiroshima to Osaka

Hiroshima - Osaka. After breakfast, you will depart from Hiroshima aboard the bullet train, travelling towards the vibrant city of Osaka while enjoying views of the changing Japanese countryside along the way.
On arrival in Osaka, the rest of the afternoon will be free for you to explore at your own pace. You may wish to visit the neon-lit streets of Dotonbori, sample Osaka’s famous street food, or spend time exploring the city’s parks and shopping districts.
This evening, you can choose how to spend your time in the city. You may wish to enjoy dinner at a traditional izakaya or take in the city views from the Umeda Sky Building before returning to your accommodation for the night.
Day 11 - Free Day in Osaka

Today, you will have the day free to explore Osaka at your own pace. You may wish to begin the day in Dotonbori or at Kuromon Ichiba Market, where you can sample some of Osaka’s best-known local dishes, including takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and fresh sushi.
You may also wish to visit Osaka Castle and stroll through its surrounding park, or explore Shitennoji Temple, one of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples.
Later in the day, you can browse the busy shopping arcades of Shinsaibashi-suji and Amerikamura, known for their fashion, local boutiques, and lively atmosphere.
This evening, you may wish to explore the neon-lit streets of Namba or Umeda, visit a local izakaya or karaoke bar, or enjoy panoramic city views from the Umeda Sky Building.
Day 12 - Osaka Food Tour
This morning, you will meet your guide and small group at 10:00 AM at Kintetsu-Nippombashi Station to begin your Osaka food tour.
A short walk away, you will arrive at the historic Kuromon Market, which has been serving locals for more than 170 years. As you explore the lively market stalls, you will sample five Osaka specialities, including takoyaki, fresh local seafood, and popular street food dishes.
Throughout the tour, your guide will share stories about the market’s history and Osaka’s famous food culture while you eat your way through one of the city’s best-known culinary districts.
You will also stroll through Doguyasuji, a shopping street dedicated to kitchenware and cooking tools, where you can browse traditional knives, unique utensils, and speciality items linked to Osaka’s culinary heritage.
Your two-hour tour concludes back at the starting point, leaving the rest of the day free for you to continue exploring Osaka at your own pace.
Day 13 - Departure from Osaka
After your final breakfast, you may wish to enjoy one last stroll or relaxed morning in Japan before departing for the airport.
Later, you will board your train to Osaka Airport, making the most of your Japan Rail Pass for the final time as you travel through Japan’s changing scenery in comfort.
On arrival at the airport, you may wish to browse for last-minute souvenirs or enjoy a final Japanese snack before your onward flight. Safe travels!
