Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi to the Masai Mara

We collect you from the airport or your Nairobi hotel after breakfast and drive to the Masai Mara via the Great Rift Valley along the Nakuru Highway. We pause at the Rift Valley Viewpoint for sweeping views of the valley floor, then continue to Narok for a lunch break and fuelling. Arriving in the afternoon, we check in at the lodge, complete park entry formalities at the gate and head straight out on an afternoon game drive.
The Masai Mara is renowned for the July–October wildebeest migration from the Serengeti – keep an eye out for wildebeest and zebra alongside resident wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles, hyenas, jackals, bat-eared foxes, baboons, warthogs, waterbuck, reedbuck, hippos, crocodiles and elands. We return to the lodge for a buffet dinner. Overnight at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
Day 2 - Full Day on the Mara Plains

We spend a full day on safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve, with morning and afternoon game drives in search of the Big Five and the reserve’s abundant wildlife. This iconic landscape spans about 1,510 square kilometres of open savannah and riverine woodland along the Mara and Talek rivers. On clear days, sunsets glow orange over the plains – ideal for photographs.
Wildlife is often encountered throughout the day, including Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, impala, hartebeest, wildebeest, elephants, buffalo, zebra and hippo. Lions are frequently seen, while cheetahs and leopards are more elusive but present. Between July and August, the Great Migration typically moves north from the Serengeti, before turning south again around October.Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the lodge – we break at midday for lunch before heading back out in the afternoon. Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
Day 3 - Deeper into the Masai Mara

We spend our second full day in the Masai Mara National Reserve, exploring the plains in search of the Big Five and other wildlife. Buffet breakfast, buffet lunch and buffet dinner are served at the lodge – overnight at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
Day 4 - Final Game Drive and the Road Back to Nairobi

After breakfast at the lodge, we set out early for a final morning game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. We then complete the exit formalities at the park gate and begin the journey back to Nairobi, stopping en route for lunch.
Arrival is in the early evening – we will drop you at the airport in time for your onward flight or at your Nairobi hotel, marking the end of your safari.
