Masai Mara Migration Safari Holiday
New
Explore Kenya's Maasai Mara and Lake Naivasha on this six-day tour from Nairobi to Nairobi. Following an overnight stay in the capital, travellers set off by road for the Maasai Mara, one of Kenya's richest wildlife reserves, spending three days on game drives in search of the big five: lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo. Between July and November, this is also when the wildebeest migration crosses the reserve from the Serengeti. From here, the tour continues to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake home to more than 400 bird species, where an evening boat ride brings sightings of hippos, giraffes and colobus monkeys, before the drive back to Nairobi.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Nairobi
On arrival in Nairobi, a representative meets you at the airport and transfers you to your accommodation, where you stay overnight ready for an early start on safari the following morning.
Day 2 - Nairobi to the Masai Mara

After breakfast at our Nairobi hotel, we drive overland to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at camp. The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuary, with open grasslands that make wildlife easy to spot.
After lunch, we set out on a late afternoon game drive to begin exploring the reserve, with chances to encounter the Big Five – lion, elephant, leopard, rhino and buffalo – along with a wide range of other species.
Day 3 - Exploring the Masai Mara

We spend the day exploring the Maasai Mara on game drives, searching for the Big Five and other wildlife across the reserve. From July to early November, the annual wildebeest migration usually arrives from the Serengeti – a vast movement in search of fresh pasture and water.
For a different perspective, you can book an optional hot air balloon safari, which offers aerial views and ends with a champagne breakfast after landing.
Day 4 - Deeper into the Masai Mara

After breakfast, we set out on morning and late afternoon game drives in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, exploring the plains in search of wildlife.
The Mara is renowned for its rich concentrations of animals and the annual wildebeest migration, including the dramatic crossings of the Mara River.
Day 5 - Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast in the Maasai Mara, we drive to Lake Naivasha, arriving in time for lunch. This freshwater lake hosts more than 400 bird species, and along its papyrus–fringed shores we often see hippos, giraffes, buffalo and the arboreal colobus monkey.
In the late afternoon we take a relaxed boat ride on the lake, then return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay in Naivasha.
Day 6 - Lake Naivasha to Nairobi
Lake Naivasha – Nairobi After an early buffet breakfast at the lodge, we drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon. We provide a packed lunch for the journey, then transfer you to the airport for your international flight.
