Itinerary
Day 1 - Marrakech
Upon arrival in Marrakech, you will be greeted by your driver or agent just outside the Arrivals exit, holding a sign with your name. Please ensure you meet your driver before leaving the pick-up area. You will then be transferred to your hotel for check-in, followed by dinner and an overnight stay. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and recover from your journey or to begin exploring Marrakech at your own pace. Be sure to rest well, as your desert adventure begins tomorrow.
Day 2 - Marrakech - M Hamid - Mhamid el Rhozlane
After breakfast, meet your driver in the hotel reception at around 8 am to begin the journey. The first highlight is the Tizi n’Tichka pass, where you’ll travel through striking mountainous terrain with dramatic cliffs and vivid colours at every turn. Continue towards Agdez for a lunch stop before crossing the vast Draa Valley, known for its extensive palm groves and numerous Kasbahs. Proceed to Zagora, then visit a potter’s village and Tamgroute, home to the region’s oldest library and Quranic school. From there, travel to M’hamid, a well-known oasis on the edge of the Sahara. Here, meet a team of cameleers and embark on a two-hour camel safari to reach your desert bivouac at Erg Lihoudi, nestled at the base of the dunes. After settling into your tent, enjoy the sunset over the dunes before joining a Berber team to learn about nomadic life by helping prepare dinner—baking bread and cooking in the sand beneath the stars. The day ends with traditional music and dance around the campfire. Overnight in the desert camp.
Day 3 - Agdez - Marrakech - Marrakech
You’ll start the day early to witness the desert sunrise—a perfect moment for memorable photographs. After a relaxed breakfast at the camp, we’ll set off on camelback for a ride through the desert, returning from Erg Lihoudi Camp to M’hamid. Once there, you’ll rejoin your vehicle and say farewell to the camels and Berber hosts. We then retrace our route through Zagora and the Draa Valley, with opportunities to stop for photos or visits along the way. After lunch in Agdez, we’ll ascend into the High Atlas Mountains, passing hidden Kasbahs and Berber villages. By evening, you’ll arrive back in Marrakech to settle into your hotel, reflecting on the unique desert experience and the varied landscapes you’ve explored.
Day 4 - Marrakech - Marrakech
Enjoy a final breakfast in Marrakech before your transfer arrives at the agreed time to take you to the airport. From there, you will board your flight to your next destination, concluding your desert adventure.
