Girona - Cadaques - Figueres - Besalu - Girona. We're delving further into Catalonia today, heading first to the coastal town of Cadaques. The artistic and Bohemian atmosphere here is thanks to the strong connection this town has with legendary artist Salvador Dali. It was in our next stop, Figueres, where Dali was born. There's time to visit his theatre and museum and to see the castle or stroll down Rambla, the main street in the town.
Next, we visit medieval Besalu, which was an important Roman stronghold. The narrow alleys of the Jewish Quarter are also ripe for exploration, and there's also free time to take in the hilltop castle, should you wish. Then we return to Girona for the evening.
