Day 1 - Madrid
Welcome to Madrid! Upon arrival at the airport, we will be ready to transfer you to your hotel. You'll have some free time before the tour officially begins. For details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers, please refer to the information signs in the hotel reception area. In the evening, we'll provide a transfer to Plaza Mayor and La Latina, the most renowned areas of Madrid for nightlife and tapas. Here, you're free to choose a dining spot from a variety of cuisines, including Indian, Chinese, Spanish, and Middle Eastern, according to your preference. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Madrid
On the second day in Madrid, we begin our journey with an extensive tour of the city centre. Key landmarks you will see include the elegant Paseo del Prado, the iconic Cibeles and Neptuno fountains, the historic Puerta de Alcalá, and the vibrant Plaza de Colón. Our exploration continues at Plaza Mayor, a popular and bustling square in the heart of the city.Following this, we will visit Retiro Park, a beautiful green oasis where we will take a stroll by the charming lake and admire the stunning Palacio de Cristal. Our next highlight is a visit to the renowned Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the home ground of Real Madrid, celebrated for its storied legacy in football.After our tour, the afternoon will be free for you to enjoy as you wish. Perhaps take the opportunity to explore more of the city's unique culture or indulge in some local cuisine at a nearby cafe. In the evening, we'll provide a transfer back to the hotel, allowing you to unwind and reflect on the day's adventures.
Day 3 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
On day three, we depart from Madrid and journey towards Aragon, traversing the scenic landscapes of Castile. Our first destination is Zaragoza, where we'll have the opportunity to marvel at the magnificent Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, a revered architectural gem. Following this, we continue to the tranquil Poblet Abbey—one of the world's most impeccably preserved medieval monasteries, with entrance tickets included in our tour. Our day concludes as we travel onwards to Barcelona, arriving in the evening. Enjoy the scenic drive and the rich cultural insights that today's journey offers.
Day 4 - Barcelona
In the morning, we'll set off on a panoramic tour of Barcelona, a captivating city renowned for its dynamic blend of culture and history flanked by the Mediterranean Sea. Discover the iconic modernist architecture of Gaudí and take in the lively atmosphere of Las Ramblas, as we explore a city shaped by major events like the Universal Exposition and the Olympics. You'll have the afternoon at leisure to delve deeper into the many delights of Barcelona at your own pace. As evening approaches, we'll transfer you to Maremagnum, a contemporary hub of entertainment and dining located by the sea and close to Plaza de Colón. Here, you’ll have the chance to unwind, enjoy a leisurely walk in this vibrant area, and choose from a diverse array of dining options that cater to every palate.
Day 5 - Barcelona - Paris
On the fifth day of your journey, we will arrange for your transfer to the station for a high-speed train ride from Barcelona to Paris. This swift and comfortable journey, spanning just over six hours, is included in your itinerary. Upon arrival in the enchanting city of Paris, another transfer will take you directly to your hotel. Later in the evening, your guide will reach out to provide further details. Alternatively, you can find relevant information on signs at the hotel reception. Please note that this train journey will not be accompanied by a guide.
Day 6 - Paris
Today, we delve into the fascinating history of France with a visit to the splendid Palace of Versailles. Although admission is not included, you'll have the chance to explore its world-famous gardens, a testament to French grandeur. Our day continues as we return to Paris, heading to the enchanting Montmartre district. Known for its bohemian spirit, Montmartre is rich with artists, painters, and lively cabarets. To capture the essence of Paris, we'll set off on a panoramic city tour guided by a local expert, taking in the city's grand boulevards and iconic landmarks. After this immersive day, we'll return to our hotel. For those seeking further entertainment, an optional evening variety show is available.
Day 7 - Paris
Our day in central Paris begins with an unforgettable visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where you'll have the opportunity to ascend to the second floor of this renowned iron structure—tickets are included. Following this, we embark on a serene cruise along the Seine River, which takes around an hour and fifteen minutes, offering delightful views of the city from the water. The afternoon is yours to enjoy as you wish, providing the freedom to explore Paris at your own pace—please note that a transfer back to the hotel is not included. If wait times at the Eiffel Tower are lengthy, we may adjust the timing of your visit, or even reschedule it for Sunday, to ensure you have an enjoyable experience. As our journey concludes, take with you the wonderful and lasting memories of this trip. Do remember to check your flight time in case you require an extra night's stay.
