Itinerary
Day 1 - Madrid
Welcome to Madrid. On arrival at the airport, we will transfer you to your hotel where you can relax and settle in before the tour begins. Please check the information boards at the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers. In the evening, we will take you to Plaza Mayor and La Latina, Madrid’s most popular neighbourhood for nightlife and tapas. You can choose to dine at a restaurant of your choice, with options including Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Madrid
We start the morning with a thorough tour of central Madrid, taking in key landmarks such as Paseo del Prado, Plaza de Cibeles, Neptune Fountain, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and Plaza Mayor. Next, we visit Retiro Park, a peaceful green space in the heart of the city, where we will see the lake and the elegant Glass Palace. Included in the day is admission to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to the world-renowned Real Madrid football club. After the visit, you’ll have the afternoon free to explore or relax at your own pace. Later, we provide a transfer back to the hotel.
Day 3 - Madrid - Granada
We depart Madrid early, travelling south through the La Mancha region. Our first stop is Puerto Lápice, a quaint village associated with the tales of Don Quixote. Continuing into Andalusia via the Despeñaperros pass, we arrive in Granada in time for an included lunch. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure. We suggest visiting the Cathedral, which houses the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs, or wandering through the Albaicín district, where you can enjoy views of the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolás. Please note that admission to the Alhambra is not included; if you wish to visit, tickets should be purchased in advance through the official website or authorised providers.
Day 4 - Granada - Nerja - Malaga - Ronda - Seville
Today we leave the Sierra Nevada behind and travel along the Mediterranean coast, known as the Tropical Coast. This area benefits from a mild microclimate that supports the cultivation of tropical fruits like guavas, mangoes, and avocados, as well as sugar cane in the past. We pause in Nerja, a charming seaside town famed for its dramatic cliffs. Continuing to Málaga, the vibrant capital of the Costa del Sol, we have time for lunch and a stroll through its historic centre. Afterwards, we head inland to the Andalusian sierras to visit Ronda, a striking whitewashed town divided by a deep gorge. Later, we arrive in Seville in the late afternoon, where dinner is included at the hotel.
Day 5 - Seville
We begin the day with a guided tour of Seville, exploring highlights such as the cathedral and its iconic Giralda tower, the scenic banks of the Guadalquivir River, and the vibrant neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana. After the tour, we’ll enjoy a leisurely boat trip along the Guadalquivir, taking in spectacular panoramic views of the city from the water. In the evening, you may choose to attend a traditional flamenco performance at a local tablao to experience this famous Andalusian art form.
Day 6 - Seville
After breakfast, our journey concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your experiences in Seville and beyond.
