Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague! Upon your arrival at the airport, we will provide a transfer to your hotel. Please refer to the information boards in the hotel reception area for details about the welcome meeting with your guide. In the evening, we whisk you away to the vibrant Old Town Square, where you can immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere. Here, you have the opportunity to enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants offering a selection of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. After dinner, we will transfer you back to the hotel. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
Today, immerse yourself in the splendour of Prague – often celebrated as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our day begins with a panoramic tour led by our knowledgeable local guide, showcasing the city's most remarkable monuments. A highlight of the morning is a visit to the magnificent Prague Castle, with your entry already arranged. Following this, relax and enjoy an included boat ride along the picturesque Vltava River, offering a unique perspective of the city’s stunning architecture. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure. Delight in wandering the charming streets, discovering hidden gems, or simply taking in the vibrant atmosphere of this historic capital.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We'll set off early, heading towards Bavaria, Germany, and arrive in Munich by midday. Here, you'll have the opportunity to wander through the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, our journey continues to Austria. Upon reaching the heart of the Alps, you'll have time to explore Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. Later in the day, savour dinner in the charming Golden Roof area and the Old Town, a perfect end to a day of exploration.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
Begin your day with a visit to the renowned Swarovski Museum, a haven of dazzling crystals. We'll take in the museum’s magnificent gardens and delve into the fascinating process behind the creation of these exquisite pieces. Enjoy some leisure time to explore further before our journey continues to Zurich, where we’ll be treated to the picturesque landscapes of Tyrol en route. Once in Zurich, savour the evening in the city’s historic centre by the lake. You’ll find an array of dining options here, offering Indian, Oriental, Italian, international, and traditional Swiss cuisine to suit all tastes.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today's journey is filled with awe-inspiring scenery as we explore the majestic landscapes of Switzerland. We start by heading towards the Interlaken region, renowned for its towering mountains and pristine lakes. Our first destination is Grindelwald, where we will pause for a coffee before embarking on a thrilling cable car ride up the mountain. Once at the top, we'll traverse a meandering path to reach a suspended bridge. For those seeking a bit of adventure, crossing this bridge offers incredible views of the glaciers. Following our mountain exploration, we will enjoy a leisurely lunch, which is included.After descending, our journey continues to Lucerne, one of the jewels of Switzerland. Here, you will have free time to discover the charm of the city’s picturesque streets and stunning architecture. In the afternoon, we return to Zurich, filled with lasting memories of Switzerland's natural beauty. As an option, your guide will offer an additional full-day excursion. From Lucerne, you can choose to take a rotating cable car to the summit of Mount Titlis. At over 3,000 metres above sea level, the mountain summit rewards you with breathtaking vistas of the glacier and the majestic Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
Leaving Zurich early in the morning, we cross the majestic Alps to reach the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first stop is Bellinzona, famed for its trio of medieval castles that are recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These castles, perched on the hills, underscore Bellinzona's historical role as a crucial alpine stronghold. You’ll have some leisure time to stroll through the picturesque streets of the town centre. Continuing our journey, we enter Italy and pause in the delightful town of Como for lunch. Celebrated as the jewel of Lombardy, Como is known for its stunning lakeside gardens and impressive cathedral. Our final leg of the day takes us to Milan, where our guide will introduce you to the striking Piazza del Duomo. After some time to explore at your own pace, we will transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
On the seventh day of our journey, we will set off for Pisa. Upon arrival, we'll board a small tourist train to reach the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles. This extraordinary location is home to one of Italy's most stunning artistic ensembles, including the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa. You'll have time to marvel at these impressive sights before we continue our journey to Rome, where we'll arrive later in the day.
Day 8 - Rome
This morning, we embark on a three-hour guided exploration of Rome, delving into both the history and beauty of this remarkable city. Our adventure begins with a walking tour through Imperial Rome, where we’ll visit landmarks that have shaped Western civilisation, such as the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the iconic Colosseum, and the Imperial Forums. Our journey continues with a panoramic bus ride, showcasing other significant sites including the Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, and the Basilica of Saint Mary Major. We'll also pass by the Pyramid of Cestius and Castel Sant’Angelo. Our tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where you’ll have the option to join an additional visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later, we’ll provide a transfer to the vibrant Trastevere neighbourhood, celebrated for its inviting restaurants and lively atmosphere. We’ll return to the hotel around 8:30 p.m., allowing you to soak in the Roman charm as the day winds down.
Day 9 - Rome
Following breakfast, our adventure draws to a close. We trust that you leave with delightful memories of your experiences, brimming with stories and moments to cherish. Safe travels as you continue your journey onwards.
