Day 1 - Paris
Welcome to Paris. Upon arrival, we'll transfer you to your hotel, where you'll have some free time to settle in and explore at your own pace. In the afternoon, we'll provide all the essential information about the start of your tour, either through a face-to-face briefing or via information displays at the hotel reception. This will help you prepare for the days ahead and make the most of your experience.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Paris
We begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, a symbol of France royal heritage, where you can explore its grand gardens and opulent architecture (admission not included). Returning to Paris, we will discover Montmartre, a vibrant bohemian neighbourhood known for its artistic legacy, painters, and lively cabarets. To capture the spirit of the city, we will embark on a panoramic tour with a local guide, taking in Paris iconic avenues and landmarks. After the tour, we return to the hotel. In the evening, you may choose to attend an optional variety show.
Day 3 - Paris - Rouen
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we include tickets to the second floor for spectacular views of the city. Following this, we take a leisurely boat cruise along the Seine, offering a different perspective of Paris renowned landmarks. You'll then have a free afternoon to explore the city at your own pace. At around 4:00 p.m., we depart Paris and travel to Normandy, arriving in Rouen. Here, you'll have time to discover the historic centre, rich with Roman roots, medieval architecture, and the impressive Gothic cathedral, which reflects the city's deep cultural heritage. Please note that if wait times at the Eiffel Tower are excessive, we may adjust the timing of the visit for your convenience, possibly moving it to a different time or day.
Day 4 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
We begin the day with a leisurely stroll through the historic centre of Rouen, taking in its medieval streets and notable Gothic cathedral. Afterwards, we travel north through France to the coast, where we cross the English Channel by ferry. Upon arrival in Canterbury, England's religious heart, you can explore its charming historic centre. Our journey continues to London, where you will have some free time around the iconic Tower Bridge before we head to the hotel for the evening.
Day 5 - London
We'll explore London on a panoramic tour with a local guide, taking in key landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace where, depending on the schedule, you may see the famous Changing of the Guard. In the evening, we'll meet in Piccadilly to enjoy a walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho�districts known for their vibrant atmosphere, theatres, and diverse dining options. You'll have plenty of choice for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 6 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
In the morning, we visit the British Museum, one of the world's oldest museums, where we explore exhibits showcasing cultures from across the globe. At lunchtime, you'll have some free time before we head to Camden, a district known for its vibrant and eclectic street market. Here, you can browse unique stalls and enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants or food stands. Around 4:00 p.m., we depart for Colchester, England's oldest recorded town, and take a leisurely walk through its historic streets. Afterwards, we continue to Harwich to board the ferry for an overnight crossing to the Netherlands, staying in en suite cabins. Please note that due to limited ferry cabin availability, this day's itinerary may be adjusted'alternatives include travelling by daytime ferry with an overnight stay in Antwerp or travelling by train or flight to Amsterdam.
Day 7 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around 8:00 a.m. and visit Volendam, a charming fishing village known for its traditional architecture and harbour. Afterwards, we travel to Amsterdam for a guided city tour highlighting several key sights: the iconic windmill and Rembrandt statue, the modern elegance of the South District, and the historic tradition of diamond cutting at Museum Square. The tour concludes with a walk into the heart of Amsterdam, where you'll have free time to explore at your leisure.
Day 8 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We depart from Amsterdam and travel to Germany, stopping first in Hamelin � a charming town known for its connection to the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Pied Piper. After some time to explore the shops and streets that evoke this story, we continue towards Berlin. En route, we pass through Marienborn, the site of the former border between East and West Germany until reunification in 1990. We arrive in Berlin in the evening.
Day 9 - Berlin
Discover Berlin's vibrant character on a guided city tour that introduces you to Germany's remarkable capital. From the coach, you'll see key sights including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the main shopping streets in the city centre, the old cathedral damaged in World War II, Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and the city's extensive parks. We'll pause to visit two poignant memorials�the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum�which offer important insights into Germany's 20th-century history. The afternoon is yours to explore Berlin at your leisure. Early evening, we'll transfer you to the lively Kantstrasse district, known for its diverse restaurants and vibrant atmosphere.
Day 10 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We travel through forested landscapes en route to Dresden, a city celebrated for its remarkable architectural and artistic heritage. You'll have time to explore some of its impressive palaces and enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants or caf's. Later, we continue into the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. We'll visit the lively Old Town Square, a bustling hub perfect for your first experience of the city. Here, you can choose from a wide range of restaurants offering Czech, Chinese, Indian, Italian, and other international cuisines. After dinner, we return to the hotel.
Day 11 - Prague
Today, we explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. A local guide will take us on a panoramic tour of the city's most remarkable landmarks, including a visit to Prague Castle, with admission included. Afterwards, we'll enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Vltava River. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to discover more of Prague at your own pace.
Day 12 - Prague
After breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with wonderful memories of your journey.
