Standard Cabin
Day 1 - Embark in Cologne
Embarkation and dinner on board. Arrival transfer and embarkation – welcome aboard MS VISTARIO in Cologne. Check in begins at 4:00 p.m.; if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at reception and explore the city at your own pace. We gather for a welcome cocktail and dinner, then set sail. Overnight sailing.
Day 2 - Exploring Rudesheim am Rhein
Full board included. We wake sailing through the most celebrated stretch of the Rhine – the Romantic Rhine – a 65 km UNESCO World Heritage section famed for castles, vineyards and legends such as the Loreley. In the early afternoon we arrive in Rüdesheim, where we join a guided visit, then you have free time to explore this charming rowers’ town. Overnight sailing.
Day 3 - Free Time in Speyer
Full board included. We wake in Speyer, a small German town of about 50,000 residents on the banks of the Rhine in Rhineland–Palatinate. You have free time to wander its streets and, if you wish, visit the Cathedral of St Mary of the Assumption and St Stephen – the largest surviving Romanesque cathedral and one of Germany’s three Imperial Cathedrals with Mainz and Worms. During lunch we sail towards Strasbourg. Overnight sailing.
Day 4 - Exploring Strasbourg
Full board included. Today we enjoy Strasbourg, capital of the Alsace region and one of Europe’s most scenic areas. In the morning we take a guided tour, starting by coach and continuing on foot through the historic centre and main sights. After lunch we resume sailing towards Basel. Overnight sailing.
Day 5 - Exploring Basel
Full board included. In the morning we enjoy an included visit to Basel, Switzerland’s oldest university city, with highlights such as the market square and its richly decorated red sandstone town hall, and the cathedral blending late Romanesque and Gothic styles. In the mid afternoon we begin sailing towards Breisach. Overnight sailing.
Day 6 - Free Time in Breisach
Full board included. Early this morning we arrive in Breisach, a small town of around 16,000 residents on the Rhine near the southern edge of the Black Forest. You have free time to enjoy its charm and traces of its artistic past, including the solid Church of St Stephen, begun in the late 12th century. During lunch we resume sailing. Overnight sailing.
Day 7 - Free Time in Mannheim or Worms & Mainz
Full board included. By late morning we arrive in Mannheim, where you have free time to explore this university city at the meeting point of the Rhine and Neckar rivers. In the afternoon we reach Mainz, where you also have free time to discover the city. Overnight sailing. Note – due to port authority decisions, we may dock in Worms instead of Mannheim; in that case, you will have free time in Worms. We sail back to Cologne overnight.
Day 8 - Cologne
Breakfast and disembarkation. After breakfast we disembark. Cabins must be vacated by 9:00 a.m., but you may leave your luggage on board and relax in the common areas, or head out to enjoy the city until your scheduled transfer. End of services.

Departure dates are guaranteed with 2 travellers. 'Double/Twin' prices are per person when there are 2 people on the same booking sharing a room. 'Single' prices are applicable to anyone wanting the privacy of their own room. 'Triple' prices are per person when there are 3 people on the same booking sharing a room. 'Shared' prices are for solo travellers who are happy to share with another solo traveller of the same sex in a twin room - a single room will be provided at no additional cost if there are no suitable travellers to share with.
