Day 1 - Chania
Welcome to Crete. Upon arrival at Chania International Airport, we transfer you by private taxi to your hotel in Chania town for check-in. Settle in and enjoy your first evening in this charming city. Overnight in Chania.
Day 2 - Chania
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your local guide for a walking tour of Chania. As the capital of the prefecture, Chania serves as the administrative, economic, commercial and transport hub of the region. The city’s rich history is visible in its architecture, reflecting the many civilisations that have influenced it over the centuries. Despite its growing popularity with visitors, Chania has retained its original charm and vibrant character. You will discover why it is regarded as one of the most beautiful and picturesque cities in Crete. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Overnight in Chania.
Day 3 - Chania - Rethymnon - Chania
After breakfast at your hotel, we visit the Monastery of Agia Triada, situated 16 kilometres northwest of Chania on the lush Akrotiri peninsula. Though the local community has diminished, restoration efforts continue, and the monastery remains active, housing an impressive library. Next, we drive to the traditional village of Margarites, known for its vibrant pottery heritage rooted in Minoan times. On the return journey, we stop in the town of Rethymnon, where you can explore its charming blend of old and new. Rethymnon’s history spans Roman, Byzantine and Venetian periods, reflected in its mosaics and architecture. Enjoy some free time to wander the winding streets before we return to your hotel in Chania for a restful evening.
Day 4 - Chania - Heraklion - Chania
After breakfast at your hotel, we visit Crete’s most renowned attraction – the Palace of Knossos. With an expert guide, we explore the ancient Minoan civilisation, dating back 5,000 years, uncovering the stories behind the legendary labyrinth and the Minotaur. This experience brings history and myth vividly to life and is an essential part of any visit to Crete. Afterwards, we travel to Heraklion, the island’s largest city and administrative capital. Following the visit, we return to your hotel in Chania for the evening.
Day 5 - Chania
After breakfast at your hotel, we transfer you to Chania International Airport for your onward flight. As you leave Crete behind, take with you the lasting memories of your journey. We wish you a safe and pleasant onward trip.
