Day 1 - Welcome to Athens

Upon arrival at Athens airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. We recommend booking your inbound flight to arrive before 13:00 pm, as the first excursion begins around 14:00 pm. In the afternoon, we drive along the scenic coastal road, passing the beautiful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza, before reaching Cape Sounio at the southern tip of Attica. Here, the striking white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand overlooking the sea. Along the way, you will enjoy splendid views of the Saronic Gulf and its offshore islands. After exploring the temple, you will have time to stroll at leisure on the rocky promontory before returning to your hotel in Athens for an overnight stay.

Day 2 - Travel to Olympia via Corinth, Epidaurus, Nafplion and Mycenae

After a hearty breakfast, we travel along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal, where we pause briefly to admire this impressive engineering feat. We then continue to the Theatre of Epidauros, renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Next, we visit the charming town of Nauplion, offering excellent photo opportunities. Our journey proceeds to Mycenae to explore the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon, significant remnants of ancient Greek civilisation. From there, we drive through the heart of the Peloponnese, passing the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis, before arriving in Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games, where we spend the night.

Day 3 - Explore Olympia & Transfer to Delphi

Today we visit the Archaeological Site of Olympia, including the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. Following this, we travel through the plains of Elis and Achaia, crossing the impressive bridge spanning the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. We pass the charming towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea before arriving in Delphi. Here, you will settle into a comfortable hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner.

Day 4 - Visit Delphi & Return to Athens

After breakfast, we visit the Archaeological Site and Museum in Delphi early in the morning. You then have a few hours of free time to explore the town at your own pace. Later, we travel to the nearby village of Arachova, known for its vibrant rugs and carpets. From there, we return to Athens via Levadia and Thebes, arriving early in the evening for your overnight stay.

Day 5 - Athens City Tour Before Greeting Greece

After breakfast and check-out, leave your luggage at the hotel reception and set off on a captivating tour showcasing the diverse character of Athens. Our expert guides will lead you to the Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Continue on foot past the Prime Minister’s residence - the former Royal Palace guarded by the Euzones in their traditional uniforms - and see key landmarks including the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament building with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis, explore the architectural highlights of Athens’ Golden Age: the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, and the Parthenon, often described as a perfect balance of form and spirit. Afterwards, visit the New Acropolis Museum to admire classical treasures. In the afternoon, transfer to Athens airport.
