Day 1 - Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport, we’ll greet you and escort you to your hotel for check in. Standard check in is from 14:00 – early check in may be possible subject to room availability. After settling in, you can refresh and, time permitting, begin to explore Delhi’s blend of old and new at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Exploring Delhi
After breakfast, we head into Old Delhi to explore its enduring landmarks. We view the Red Fort and visit Jama Masjid, then weave through the bustling lanes of Chandni Chowk and Khari Baoli Spice Market. We continue to Raj Ghat, the riverside memorial to Mahatma Gandhi.
In New Delhi, we visit Humayun’s Tomb – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and the soaring Qutub Minar, before finding a quiet moment at the Lotus Temple. We then drive past the President’s House, Parliament and India Gate for a sense of the city’s ceremonial heart. Return to your hotel to unwind. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Delhi to Agra & Taj Mahal Visit
Delhi – Agra (204 km – approx. 4 hours). After breakfast, we drive to Agra and check in on arrival. We then visit the Taj Mahal, followed by the impressive Agra Fort. We also explore the serene gardens of Itmad–ud–Daula, often called the Baby Taj. If time allows, you can browse Sadar Bazaar for souvenirs such as spices and jewellery, or visit a local marble inlay workshop to see traditional craftsmanship. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Fatehpur Sikri, Abhaneri & Jaipur
Agra – Fatehpur Sikri – Abhaneri – Jaipur (approx. 445 km – 5 hours). We depart Agra for Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan, breaking the journey to explore the UNESCO-listed ruins of Fatehpur Sikri and to visit Abhaneri’s famed Chand Baori stepwell – an impressive example of early engineering. On arrival in Jaipur we check in to the hotel. In the evening you can browse the city’s lively markets for handicrafts and textiles. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 - Amber Fort & Jaipur Sightseeing
We spend the day exploring Jaipur’s highlights. We ascend to Amber Fort – a hilltop stronghold with wide views – then continue to Jaigarh Fort with its imposing ramparts. Back in the city, we tour the City Palace and the UNESCO-listed Jantar Mantar observatory. We pause at the intricate facade of Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Winds – whose latticed windows once allowed royal ladies to observe the streets below. We take a quiet break at Sisodia Rani Garden before visiting Birla Temple. In the evening, you can browse Jaipur’s bazaars at your own pace. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 - Jaipur to Mandawa
Jaipur – Mandawa (170 km – approx. 3 hours). Depart Jaipur for Mandawa, a historic town renowned for its ornate havelis. On arrival, check in to the hotel, then we visit Mandawa Fort to appreciate its Rajput architecture and views over the surrounding desert landscape. We continue to explore the town’s frescoed mansions, including Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, Goenka Double Haveli and Murmuria Haveli, as well as Jhunjhunwala Haveli, Mohan Lal Saraf Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, The Binsidhar Newatia Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia Haveli and Chokhani Double Haveli. You can also wander the narrow lanes to see local temples and browse the small markets at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 - Mandawa to Delhi
Mandawa to Delhi – 250 kilometres, approx. five hours. After a final look at Mandawa’s architectural treasures, we set off for Delhi – a drive of around five hours. On arrival, we take you to the airport in good time for your onward flight.
