Day 1 - Hyderabad
On arrival at Hyderabad airport, we will greet you and arrange your transfer to the hotel. Check in is from 2 pm – early check in is subject to availability. The rest of the day is at leisure – you can relax at the hotel or take a short walk to explore the surrounding area at your own pace. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 - Hyderabad
We set out early for Golkonda Fort – exploring its ramparts, palaces and the famed Fateh Darwaza. We then continue to the nearby Qutub Shahi Tombs – an impressive necropolis of the dynasty’s rulers with intricate stonework. The city tour carries on at the Charminar, followed by the grand Mecca Masjid and the opulent Chowmahalla Palace. Between sights, you can browse Laad Bazaar for traditional bangles and exquisite jewellery, or sample local delicacies at a neighbourhood eatery. We end the day at the serene Birla Mandir for panoramic city views, then return to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Hyderabad - Badami
After breakfast in Hyderabad, we check out and drive to Badami in Karnataka – around 430 kilometres and approximately eight hours. On arrival, we check in and you can take a moment to unwind. Later, we explore the famed Badami Cave Temples, admiring their ancient rock‑cut architecture and intricate sculptures, and visit Agastya Lake, which provides a striking backdrop to the cliffside shrines. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Badami - Pattadakal - Aihole
We set out from Badami on a full-day excursion to Aihole and Pattadakal, returning to Badami in the evening. In Aihole – often called the cradle of Indian architecture – we explore standout temples including the Durga Temple, the Lad Khan Temple with its blend of northern and southern styles, and the rock-cut Ravana Phadi. We then continue to Pattadakal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to admire the Chalukyan masterpieces at Virupaksha and Mallikarjuna, noted for their intricate carvings and richly detailed pillars.Back in Badami, we visit the sandstone cave temples with sculptures of Hindu deities such as Shiva and Vishnu, followed by the ancient Badami Fort for wide views over the town and Agastya Lake. We return to your hotel for the night – overnight at hotel.
Day 5 - Badami - Hyderabad
Badami – Hyderabad (approx. 430 km – 8 hours) After breakfast, we set out by road to Hyderabad. On arrival, we transfer you to your hotel or the airport, concluding your journey. If time allows, you may fit in some last minute shopping for souvenirs.
