Set off from Kathmandu and finish back in the capital on a 15 day Himalayan adventure. After a scenic journey to Pokhara you’ll ease into lakeside life before hitting the trails. Expect stone stairways, terraced farms and forests of rhododendron and bamboo – plus warm teahouse hospitality. Sunrise at Poon Hill is a trip favourite, and the walk into the Annapurna Sanctuary to Machhapuchhare Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp delivers immense glacier ringed vistas. Unwind at Jhinu hot springs and return to Pokhara for a relaxed finale before the drive to Kathmandu – a well paced blend of big mountain drama and Nepali culture.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Kathmandu
On arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, we are met and assisted with the transfer into Kathmandu. We meet our local representative and continue to our Thamel hotel to check in. Once settled, you can take a first wander through the city’s bustling streets and markets – a lively introduction to Kathmandu. Later, we regroup as our representative outlines the itinerary and shares essential information for the days ahead.
Day 2 - Kathmandu - Pokhara - Pokhara
We travel west to Pokhara, following river valleys and mountain scenery with views of the Himalaya. On arrival, you have free time to relax by the lake – enjoy the cafés and shops and soak up the peaceful setting.
Day 3 - Pokhara
We drive from Pokhara to Naya Pul – the starting point of our trek – passing villages and terraced hillsides on the way. From here we set off on foot, following the trail through Birethanti and along hillside paths to reach Tirkhedhunga.
Day 4 - Tirkhedhunga - Ghorepani
We climb the steep stone steps to Ulleri, then continue through forest – a steady and rewarding ascent – before arriving in Ghorepani.
Day 5 - Ghorepani - Tadapani
Before dawn we set off for Poon Hill, arriving as sunrise reveals panoramic Himalayan views. We continue along a forested ridge, descend through a gorge and make a final climb to Tadapani.
Day 6 - Tadapani - Chomrong
We descend through dense forest and terraced farms, cross a river – then climb steadily to Chomrong.
Day 7 - Chomrong - Himalaya Hotel
We follow a trail through bamboo and rhododendron forest – then ascend towards the Himalaya Hotel area.
Day 8 - Himalaya Hotel - Machhapuchhare Base Camp
We ascend above the tree line – passing Hinku Cave and traversing avalanche zones – before arriving at Machhapuchhare Base Camp.
Day 9 - Machhapuchhare Base Camp - Annapurna Base Camp
We walk deeper into the Annapurna Sanctuary, steadily gaining altitude as the scenery grows ever more dramatic. Around Annapurna Base Camp we explore nearby viewpoints – lingering for expansive views of the surrounding peaks and the vast mountain amphitheatre.
Day 10 - Annapurna Base Camp - Bamboo
We descend through snowy valleys and forested slopes towards Bamboo – shedding considerable altitude as we go.
Day 11 - Bamboo - Jhinnudanda
We continue along the Modi Khola Valley and descend to Jhinnudanda – you can visit the nearby hot springs if you wish.
Day 12 - Jhinnudanda - Pothana
We make a steady ascent through Landruk and Tolka – savouring sweeping valley views – before reaching Pothana.
Day 13 - Pokhara
On our final day of trekking we descend through forests and villages to reach Phedi, then return to Pokhara by road. You have the afternoon free to relax or explore at your own pace – stroll by the lake, linger in cafés, browse the shops and enjoy the peaceful lakeside setting.
Day 14 - Pokhara - Kathmandu - Kathmandu
We travel by tourist bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu, following winding roads beside rivers as we leave the Annapurna region. On arrival, you have time at leisure – rest after the journey or explore the lively lanes of Thamel. This evening we host an informal briefing about the tour and the local area.
Day 15 - Kathmandu
We transfer you from your hotel to Kathmandu Airport for your onward flight, and we are on hand at the terminal to assist with check in and departure formalities. Your tour concludes here.
