This 19–day adventure starts and ends in Lima – linking Peru’s coast, high Andes and Amazon. From Paracas you’ll cruise the Ballestas Islands to spot seabirds and sea lions, sip wines and pisco at an Ica bodega, and ride dune buggies at the Huacachina oasis. You’ll unravel the Nazca Lines and the eerie Chauchilla Cemetery. Continue to Colca Canyon – with time for rafting, cycling or trekking. In Cusco and the Sacred Valley you’ll prepare for the iconic Inca Trail – culminating at magnificent Machu Picchu. Finish in Tambopata with canoe rides and jungle walks in search of wildlife – then fly back to Lima.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Lima
We meet you on arrival at Lima Airport and transfer you to your city hotel. You settle in and get ready for the journey ahead – the drive in offers a first glimpse of the coastal capital.
Day 2 - Lima - Paracas
We travel south along the Pacific coast to Paracas, passing stark desert and broad coastal plains. In Paracas we take a boat to the Ballestas Islands within the reserve to watch seabirds, sea lions and abundant marine life.
Day 3 - Paracas - Huacachina
We leave Paracas for Huacachina, crossing the Ica Desert’s sweeping dunes. En route we visit the Tacama winery to sample local wines and pisco. On arrival at the oasis, you can unwind by the lagoon or stroll among the towering dunes, before we join an exhilarating ride in dune buggies over the sands – the perfect vantage point for wide desert views and a glowing sunset.
Day 4 - Huacachina - Nazca - Arequipa
We drive to Nazca across the desert plains to view the enigmatic Nazca Lines and learn about the cultures that created them. We also visit the open–air Chauchilla Cemetery to see remarkably preserved pre–Inca mummies. That evening we take an overnight coach to Arequipa – leaving the coast and climbing into the Andes.
Day 5 - Colca Canyon
You have free time in the Colca Canyon – you can choose to go rafting, cycling or trekking.
Day 6 - Colca Canyon
You have another free day in the Colca Canyon – you can opt for rafting, cycling or trekking.
Day 7 - Colca Canyon
You continue with free time in the Colca Canyon – explore at your own pace with options for rafting, cycling or trekking.
Day 8 - Colca Canyon
You enjoy further free time in the Colca Canyon – pick from rafting, cycling or trekking.
Day 9 - Arequipa - Cusco
We travel overnight by coach from Arequipa to Cusco – a route across high Andean terrain. We then explore the Sacred Valley, visiting ancient sites, terraces and local markets.
Day 10 - Cusco
We transfer from Cusco to the Inca Trail trailhead in the Urubamba Valley, make final preparations, and set off along the famed stone pathway – tracing ancient footsteps through quiet valleys, evocative ruins and grand mountain scenery.
Day 11 - Peru
We continue along the Inca Trail – climbing over high passes and descending into cloud forest.
Day 12 - Inca Trail
We trek further along the Inca Trail – passing remote ruins and dramatic Andean landscapes.
Day 13 - Cusco
We visit Machu Picchu to explore the iconic citadel in its cloud–forest setting, then return by train to Cusco – a scenic journey following the Urubamba Valley.
Day 14 - Cusco
You have free time in Cusco – rest or explore at your own pace, with museums, churches and markets to discover.
Day 15 - Cusco
You enjoy another free day in Cusco – take it easy or continue exploring museums, churches and markets.
Day 16 - Cusco - Puerto Maldonado
We fly from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado – crossing from the Andes into the Amazon Basin – then travel by boat along the Madre de Dios River into the Tambopata region.
Day 17 - Tambopata
We explore the Tambopata region on guided jungle walks and canoe outings – watching for wildlife and immersing ourselves in the rainforest.
Day 18 - Tambopata
We continue our rainforest explorations with guided walks and tranquil canoe excursions – an intimate way to observe wildlife. Between outings, you can relax and soak up the sounds of the forest.
Day 19 - Tambopata - Puerto Maldonado - Lima
We return by boat to Puerto Maldonado, then fly to Lima – completing the Amazon leg of our journey. The trip concludes on arrival in Lima, and you depart with lasting memories of Peru’s landscapes and heritage.
