Thai Two Oceans

On arrival at Phuket or Krabi International Airport, make your way to the designated meeting point to meet our representative. To use the included services today, you must land before 10:00 am – no transport operates after this time and, with a late arrival, lunch and the activity will not be provided. Recommended flights are TG201 BKK–HKT 7:40–9:05 and TG241 BKK–KBV 8:00–9:20. At Phuket International Airport, the meeting point is in Terminal 2. For domestic flights arriving into Terminal 2, proceed there after baggage claim. For international flights arriving into Terminal 1, meet our representative in the arrivals hall – they will be holding a sign and will guide you to the main meeting point in Terminal 2. At Krabi International Airport, the meeting point is in the arrivals hall, where our representative will be waiting with a sign.We then transfer to Khao Sok National Park, set between the Andaman Coast and the Gulf of Thailand – the journey takes around 2.5 hours. En route we stop for lunch at a local restaurant. On arrival, check in at the hotel in the early afternoon before we head out to explore Khao Sok. The park is known for striking limestone formations, clear lakes, deep valleys and intriguing caves, with diverse wildlife sometimes seen. After the visit, we return to the hotel in the afternoon and you can relax.Overnight in Khao Sok.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, we head to Cheow Lan Lake in Khao Sok National Park for a full day – on the water and in the forest. This vast manmade lake is framed by sheer limestone cliffs and clear, calm waters. We cruise by boat to take in the scenery, then step ashore for a light jungle trek and to explore a cave. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. We return to the resort in the afternoon to rest. Overnight in Khao Sok.

After breakfast, we leave Khao Sok early for Surat Thani, stopping en route at Phra Boromathat Temple in Chaiya. In Surat Thani, we head to the pier and board a motorised longtail boat for about an hour on the River Tapi – the longest river in Southern Thailand – passing waterfront homes and observing daily life along the banks. Back on land, we enjoy lunch in town (included) before continuing to Tham Khao Wang Thong, a limestone and iron ore cave with striking stalactites. We finish in the afternoon with a transfer to your hotel in Khanom. Overnight in Khanom.

After breakfast, we leave Khanom early for Nakhon Si Thammarat. Our first stop is Wat Phra Mahathat, widely considered Thailand’s oldest temple – some date it to the 11th century. We then continue to the Shadow Puppet Museum and the former home of master puppeteer Suchart Subsin to learn about the region’s shadow theatre culture. Lunch at a local restaurant is included.In the afternoon, we travel to Baan Kiri Wong – literally “village surrounded by the mountains” – to meet members of the community and enjoy views of the creek and surrounding hills. We then continue to Phatthalung, arriving in the late afternoon. Overnight in Phatthalung.

We rise early to explore Thale Noi Lake, taking in the scenic views and watching numerous bird species in their natural habitat. In season, the lake is carpeted with water lilies and blooming lotus flowers. After this calm start, we return to the resort for breakfast before continuing our journey towards Trang. En route, we stop for lunch at a local restaurant – included – then visit Tham Le Khao Kob cave in the Huai Yot district. This cave is unique and involves travelling by boat through narrow passages; if you are prone to claustrophobia, please discuss this with the tour escort before entering. Inside, we follow the guide along the stream to see impressive stalagmite and stalactite formations, and at some points you will need to lie down in the boat to pass. We arrive in Trang in the afternoon. Overnight in Trang.

After breakfast in Trang, we set off early for Pak Meng Pier to join a full day boat trip to Koh Kradan, Koh Mook and Koh Chuak. If weather permits, we visit the spectacular Emerald Cave. We cruise between the islands, taking in white sand beaches and crystal-clear water, with time to relax on board. Lunch is served on the boat – included. We return to Pak Meng Pier and continue to Krabi, arriving later in the afternoon. Overnight in Krabi.

After breakfast, we depart early to explore the other side of Krabi on the small island of Koh Klang. From Tara Pier, we take a long–tail boat for a short five–minute crossing to the island – cars aren’t used here – then continue by tuk–tuk (included) into Baan Koh Klang, an unspoilt village where locals follow traditional ways of life. We see the rice fields, visit a local boat–crafting house and observe batik fabric painting. A Thai set lunch at a local restaurant is included. In the afternoon, we explore the mangrove forest by long–tail boat before returning to the mainland. We then transfer you to your hotel in Krabi or to Krabi International Airport, arriving at around 03:00 pm. The recommended departure flight is TG250 KBV–BKK 19:20–20:40. To use the included airport transfer, please plan to depart after 05:00 pm – no transportation is available before this time. From here, you can continue with your onward travel arrangements.
