Day 1 - Washington DC
Upon arrival in Washington, D.C., we'll provide your transfer to the hotel, where you can unwind and enjoy some leisure time. In the afternoon, you will either receive information regarding the start of your tour from our team or via informative signs at the hotel's reception area. As evening approaches, we'll escort you to Georgetown, the vibrant district known for its dynamic collection of bars and restaurants. After some time exploring Georgetown, you'll return to the hotel for the night. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Washington DC
After a nourishing breakfast, we set off to explore Washington D.C., starting with a drive past the Pentagon en route to Virginia. Here, we pause for a photo opportunity at the notable Iwo Jima Memorial. Our journey continues with visits to the Lincoln, Korean, and Vietnam Memorials, offering profound insights into significant moments in history. Next, we visit the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, followed by a brief photo stop outside the iconic White House. As we circle the Capitol, our morning tour concludes near the vibrant museum district of Washington. In the afternoon, we embark on a leisurely boat trip along the Potomac River, where you'll enjoy unique views of the city's landmarks from the water. Following this tranquil river cruise, we return to our hotel. For the evening, there's an exciting optional opportunity to join a night tour of Washington, presenting the city's monuments beautifully lit up against the night sky, before heading back to our accommodation. Please note the Potomac River boat cruise does not operate from October to March due to weather conditions.
Day 3 - Washington DC - Lancaster - New York
After breakfast, we depart from Washington and make our way to Lancaster, a unique location known for its Amish community. As we travel through the serene countryside, you'll have the opportunity to observe the distinctive Amish farms and appreciate their 18th-century way of life, a lifestyle that has remained largely unchanged. We'll stop for lunch en route, allowing you some time to relax and reflect on the morning's experiences. Our journey then continues towards the vibrant city of New York, where we will arrive in the afternoon. Take the chance to unwind and explore at your own pace after check-in.
Day 4 - New York
Following breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour of New York City, exploring the vibrant areas of Upper, Midtown, and Lower Manhattan. We start with iconic Wall Street, move on to the Rockefeller Center, and visit St Patrick’s Cathedral. We then explore the expanses of Central Park, stop by the lively Columbus Circle, and admire the AOL/Time Warner Building. Delve into the cultural vibes of Greenwich Village, stroll through the charming streets of Little Italy, and head to Battery Park to take in a stunning view of the Statue of Liberty. In the evening, we provide a transfer to Times Square – the true pulse of the city with its dazzling lights and world-famous Broadway musicals. Please note, if your hotel is located in the Times Square area, this transfer will not be necessary.
Day 5 - New York - Boston
We set off for Boston, Massachusetts, arriving around midday. Our visit kicks off with a panoramic tour of this historic city, vital in the United States' struggle for independence. We explore Beacon Hill, known for its charming streets and historic architecture, and take in the prestigious surroundings of Harvard University. The picturesque Boston Common gardens and the architectural beauty of Trinity Church are next on our list. The tour concludes at Quincy Market, a lively hub by the docks bustling with shops and eateries. You will have some leisure time here to explore, shop, or savour local cuisine before we return to the hotel for our accommodation.
Day 6 - Boston - Woodstock - Montreal
After breakfast, we embark on a journey through the picturesque landscapes of New Hampshire and Vermont, two of the Eastern United States’ most stunning states. En route, we pause in Woodstock, Vermont, a charming town renowned for its beautifully restored Georgian houses. Continuing our journey north, we make our way to the Canadian border, crossing over into the vibrant city of Montreal. Upon arrival, we settle into our accommodation to relax after a day filled with breathtaking scenery.
Day 7 - Montreal - Quebec
Following breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour of Montreal, showcasing notable landmarks such as Parc Mont Royal, St. Joseph's Oratory, and the Cathedral. Post-lunch, we journey to Quebec, where you'll find your accommodation. The day offers a seamless blend of exploring Montreal's vibrant culture and the historic charm of Quebec, ensuring a captivating experience for everyone.
Day 8 - Quebec
Following breakfast, we embark on a panoramic tour of Quebec City. We'll explore some of the city's most significant sights, including the iconic Ch?teau Frontenac, the historic Place Royale, the spiritual sanctuary of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupr?, and the formidable Citadelle. In the afternoon, you're free to continue your exploration at your own pace. We recommend visiting the spectacular Montmorency Falls, where you can admire the natural beauty of this captivating landscape.
Day 9 - Quebec - Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts - Mont-Tremblant - Ottawa
After breakfast, we immerse ourselves in a day filled with Canada's natural beauty, beginning with the picturesque Laurentian Hills. Here, we pause to explore Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, a quaint town encapsulating the charm of the region. Our journey continues to Mont-Tremblant, renowned for its exceptional ski resort and vibrant atmosphere. From there, we make our way to Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, where we will arrive and settle in for the evening.
Day 10 - Ottawa - Thousand Islands - Toronto
Following breakfast, we'll set out on a city tour of Ottawa, where we'll visit the iconic Rideau Canal and the Parliament Buildings. If you're travelling in July or August, you'll have the chance to witness the impressive Changing of the Guard ceremony. We continue our journey to Gananoque, where we embark on a scenic cruise through the breathtaking landscapes of the St. Lawrence River and its enchanting Thousand Islands. After taking in the stunning views, we'll head south, arriving at our hotel in Toronto later in the afternoon.
Day 11 - Toronto
Following breakfast, we embark on a sightseeing tour of Toronto, exploring the vibrant community of Chinatown, the architectural marvel of City Hall, and the bustling Financial District. We'll continue to Eaton Centre, a notable shopping destination, before visiting the historic Casa Loma and other key tourist sites. In the afternoon, you have the choice to visit the CN Tower, indulge in shopping at Eaton Centre, or wander through the vast Underground City, home to 25 kilometres of shopping arcades beneath the financial district. As evening unfolds, Queens Quay beckons with its energised atmosphere filled with dining experiences. We will return to our accommodation later in the evening.
Day 12 - Toronto - Los Angeles
Following breakfast, we set off for the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll and soak in the picturesque surroundings. We then proceed to the majestic Niagara Falls. Here, you'll have the opportunity to capture the Floral Clock in your photographs before boarding the Hornblower Niagara Cruise. This experience takes us up close to the thundering falls, offering spectacular views from the base. After this thrilling boat ride, you'll have free time to explore the lively attractions of Clifton Hill. We will then make our way to our hotel in Niagara Falls in the late afternoon, where you can unwind and reflect on the day's experiences.
Day 13 - Los Angeles
After breakfast, we embark on a comprehensive tour of Los Angeles, a sprawling city with diverse sights. We explore the city's music, civic, and financial centres, passing through LA Live and the Staples Center. Our journey continues along Wilshire Boulevard, taking us westwards past the vibrant Korean Quarter and the Brea Ditch until we reach the opulent neighbourhood of Beverly Hills. Venturing onto Sunset Boulevard, we arrive at Hollywood, where you'll find the iconic Walk of Fame, brimming with stars, the Dolby Theatre, the historic Chinese Theatre, and the universally recognisable Hollywood sign. You'll have some free time to explore and enjoy lunch. Later in the day, we head to Long Beach. Here, amidst a blend of palm trees and sleek glass buildings, you'll have time to stroll and dine in the lively Shoreline Village, with views across to the magnificent Queen Mary ocean liner.
Day 14 - Los Angeles - Santa Monica - Solvang - Bakersfield
Today we depart from Los Angeles and head to the iconic Santa Monica Pier, famously featured in numerous Hollywood films. Here, you can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and perhaps take a stroll along its historic boardwalk. We then continue our journey towards Solvang, a charming town that offers a delightful taste of Denmark right in the heart of California. Solvang stands out with its unique Danish architecture and cultural offerings. Finally, we arrive in Bakersfield, where we prepare for the next leg of our journey. Accommodation awaits, providing a restful environment after a day filled with diverse experiences.
Day 15 - Bakersfield - Sequoia National Park - Fresno
After breakfast, we set off to explore a stunning natural environment vastly different from the arid landscapes witnessed the previous day. Leaving Bakersfield, we journey through one of the USA's most magnificent forests, inhabited by the extraordinary Giant Sequoias. Our adventure leads us to Sequoia National Park, where you'll have the chance to photograph remarkable trees including the General Sherman, recognised as the largest tree on Earth. Take a leisurely stroll among these towering natural wonders, marvelling at their grandeur. After this unforgettable experience, we continue our journey towards Fresno for an overnight stay.
Day 16 - Fresno - Yosemite - San Francisco
After enjoying breakfast, we set off for the renowned Yosemite National Park, a place famed for its stunning mountain landscapes, including dramatic cliffs, majestic waterfalls, and lush vegetation. Upon arrival, we explore some of the park's most iconic sights: El Capitan, Half Dome, and the cascading waterfalls. You'll have time to relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch amidst this natural beauty. Later in the afternoon, we carry on to San Francisco, arriving in the late afternoon.
Day 17 - San Francisco
Following breakfast, we embark on an engaging city tour of San Francisco. Our journey begins at Union Square, famed for its iconic trams, followed by a visit to the bustling Chinatown and the vibrant Financial District. We'll explore the Theatre District, Civic Center, and Alamo Square, offering views of the picturesque Painted Ladies Victorian homes set against the backdrop of the city's modern skyline—a scene featured in numerous films. As we pass through the Castro district, we make our way to Twin Peaks for a panoramic view of the city and its stunning bay.Our exploration continues through the historic Haight-Ashbury neighbourhood, known for its counterculture heritage, before reaching the expansive Golden Gate Park where we pause to enjoy the surroundings. Finally, we conclude our city tour at the famous Golden Gate Bridge.The afternoon is yours to explore further, with the option to visit the charming town of Sausalito, renowned for its breathtaking views of San Francisco and the bay. In the evening, we'll whisk you away to North Beach—San Francisco's Little Italy—where an authentic and vibrant nightlife filled with enticing dining options awaits.
Day 18 - San Francisco
