Day 1 - Sung Sot Cave and Titop Island
Hanoi - Halong Bay. This morning, you'll be picked up from your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter between 8 and 8:45 am, before we head to Halong Bay on the expressway, stopping for a 20-minute break around 10:15 am along the way. We arrive at Tuan Chau Harbour by midday, then at 12:30 pm we board our cruise, enjoy a welcome drink and a briefing on the days ahead and safety guidelines, before checking in to our cabins.
At 1 pm, we sit down to a special lunch of Vietnamese dishes as the cruise gets underway, taking in the extraordinary rock formations of Halong Bay. At 3 pm, we visit Sung Sot Cave, also known as the Surprising Cave.
We then continue to Titop Island at 4 pm. You can hike to the viewpoint at its summit for sweeping views over the bay, or swim from its sandy beach.
Back on board by 5:30 pm, there's time to shower and relax on the sundeck, watching the sunset with a cocktail or a book. At 6 pm, we join a sunset party and a cooking class, learning to make fresh noodle rolls to enjoy ourselves.
At 7 pm, we have a barbecue dinner overlooking the bay, followed by a natural herbal foot bath at 8:30 pm to help ease any aches and encourage toxin release. From 9 pm, you can join in with games such as squid fishing and karaoke, or simply relax on the sundeck, before an overnight stay on board.
Day 2 - Pearl Farm, Kayaking & return to Hanoi
Halong Bay - Hanoi. At 6 am, early risers can catch the sunrise from the sundeck, before joining us at 7 am for tea or coffee with the morning view, followed by a buffet breakfast.
At 7:45 am, we visit a pearl farm in Halong Bay, one of the most renowned in Vietnam - the process of farming and retrieving these pearls can take years.
From 8:30 am, you have the option to go kayaking or take a bamboo boat to explore the bay independently. At 9:30 am, we check out and continue our fantastic cruise on the bay, with lunch served on board at 10:45 am as we sail back towards Tuan Chau Harbour.
By midday, we arrive back at Tuan Chau Harbour, say goodbye to the crew, and disembark, before boarding the bus back to Hanoi on the expressway, with a short break along the way at 2:15 pm. You'll arrive back at your hotel in Hanoi's Old Quarter at around 3:30 pm, marking the end of the tour.
