Itinerary
Day 1 - Lima
Upon arrival at Lima Airport, a driver and guide will meet you at the scheduled time to transfer you to your hotel in the city. Lima, Peru’s capital, is a dynamic metropolis rich in history and currently experiencing significant cultural and economic growth. In the afternoon, we will collect you from your hotel and take you to Huaca Pucllana restaurant, set within the grounds of an ancient adobe pyramid built over 1,500 years ago. The restaurant’s rustic colonial-style setting complements its menu, which offers a fusion of traditional Peruvian flavours. After dinner, we will return you to your hotel for an overnight stay in Lima.
Day 2 - Lima
After breakfast at the hotel, we begin the day with a visit to a local market to explore the rich variety of ingredients central to Peruvian cuisine. Next, we head to a well-known restaurant for a cocktail class, where you will learn to prepare the Pisco Sour, Peru’s national drink. Following this, we take part in a cooking class, preparing traditional Peruvian dishes that you will then enjoy tasting, offering a hands-on introduction to Lima’s culinary heritage. In the afternoon, we explore Lima’s historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our tour includes the Main Square, where you can admire the impressive colonial architecture, the 16th-century Cathedral, and Casa Aliaga—a colonial mansion granted by Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains and still owned by the same family. We then visit the Pueblo Libre district to see the Larco Museum, housed in a restored viceregal mansion built atop a 7th-century pre-Columbian pyramid. The museum features an extensive collection of pre-Hispanic gold and silver artefacts, including pieces of erotic art. We return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Lima.
Day 3 - Lima
Today, we explore Barranco, Lima’s most romantic and bohemian district. Once the summer retreat for the city’s wealthiest families in the early 20th century, Barranco retains a distinctive architectural charm with its period mansions. We wander through its colourful streets, taking in art galleries and the lively atmosphere that defines this vibrant neighbourhood. Along the way, we stop at a traditional street food stall to savour local favourites – the anticucho, a marinated beef heart skewer, and picarones, a sweet squash-based dessert. This authentic culinary experience offers a true taste of Lima’s street food culture. Overnight in Lima.
Day 4 - Lima
After a hearty breakfast, we will transfer you from your hotel to the airport at the scheduled time. This marks the conclusion of your stay in Lima. Breakfast is included.
