Day 1 - Varna
Welcome to Bulgaria. On arrival at Varna International Airport, you will be met by our representative, who will assist you and arrange your transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. Take time to explore Varna’s highlights – a stroll through the pedestrian centre is a great way to discover the city’s main sights and get a feel for its atmosphere. Overnight in Varna.
Day 2 - Balchik - Varna
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a private tour along the North Black Sea coast, known for its dramatic rocky beaches, chalk cliffs and striking seascapes. Our guide will introduce you to Cape Kaliakra, a site of both natural beauty and historical significance, where you can see the remains of ancient and medieval fortresses and churches. The tour continues to Balchik, once the summer residence of Queen Marie of Romania. Here, we visit the palace and its renowned botanical garden, home to one of Europe’s richest cactus collections. Guidance and transportation are included, while entrance fees are payable locally.In the evening, you may wish to join an optional dinner at one of Varna’s top restaurants, featuring a four-course menu and a glass of wine. Guidance and transportation are not included for this dinner. Overnight in Varna.
Day 3 - Varna
After breakfast at the hotel, you have the day free to discover Varna at your own pace. The city offers a blend of lively promenades, peaceful corners in the Sea Garden, and museums that trace local history from ancient times to the present. We recommend visiting the Cathedral of Varna, a key landmark, and the Archaeological Museum, where you can view the world’s oldest known gold treasure. If you prefer to relax, you can head to one of Varna’s many beaches.Alternatively, you may choose from two optional tours. The Varna city tour, lasting four hours, includes a private guide in your chosen language, though transfers and entrance fees are not included. For a full-day excursion, you can join a guided tour to Nessebar, a UNESCO-listed old town on the southern Black Sea coast. This tour includes transportation and a private guide, with entrance fees payable locally. In Nessebar, you will explore cobbled streets, historic churches dating from the 13th century, and significant monuments such as the Church of St Stephen, noted for its architecture and mural paintings. There will also be free time to wander the narrow lanes, admire wooden houses, and enjoy a meal with sea views. Overnight in Varna.
Day 4 - Varna
After breakfast, we check out from the hotel. A private transfer will take you to Varna International Airport for your return flight home.
