Iceland Travel Advice for Australian Travellers

The safety of our travellers is of utmost importance and we keep informed of the latest travel updates on Iceland. We recommend that you check the latest travel advice from Smart Traveller when planning your trip.

Flying to Iceland from Australia:

Iceland is around a 26 hour flight from Australia and most airlines will have two transit stops en route. Reykjavik is the main hub for international transportation to Iceland and where our tours start and end. From Sydney one of the most convenient routes is with Emirates via Dubai and London, with Iceland Air operating the London to Reykjavik leg of the journey. As connection times can vary widely you may wish to consider stopping over in London for a few nights and picking up a cheap flight to Reykjavik with WOW Air or easyJet. These budget airlines offer great airfares when booked in advance and are best booked directly via their websites. For international flights from Australia to Iceland check out Skyscanner.
