Oslo - Balestrand. Head to Oslo train station between 07:00-07:15 for your journey through Norway’s stunning fjords. Optional luggage transfer to Bergen is available, allowing you to travel without check-in baggage, which will be ready for pickup at your Bergen hotel.
Take an early train to Myrdal, a scenic mountain station, where you'll board the famous Flamsbana. This steep railway winds through breathtaking landscapes, past waterfalls, steep cliffs, and 20 tunnels, offering countless spectacular views.
Arrive in Flam and enjoy free time to explore the charming village before continuing with a cruise on the majestic Sognefjord, Norway’s longest fjord. The journey begins in Aurlandsfjord, a 17 km branch of the 204 km Sognefjord, renowned for its stunning scenery.
Enjoy a free day to explore the region at your own pace or join an optional Half-Day Fjaerland excursion (available 1st June – 15th September).
This round-trip from Balestrand to Fjaerland includes visits to Boyabreen and Supphellebreen glaciers, plus the Norwegian Glacier Museum. Sail through the stunning Fjaerland Fjord, with its steep mountains and vibrant scenery, before a shuttle bus takes you to the museum. Watch Ivo Caprino’s panoramic film on Jostedalen Glacier and explore the exhibition.
The trip continues by coach to the glaciers before returning to Fjaerland and sailing back to Hella/Balestrand. The fare includes the coach and museum entrance.
