Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Baku & Transfer to Gabala
Baku - Gabala. Upon arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Gabala. Although the journey is relatively long and passes through several districts, the drive is made enjoyable with short stops for photos and tea at scenic points along the way, with your guide sharing interesting insights as you travel.
On arrival in Gabala, you will check in to your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
Day 2 - Gabala Nature & Mountain Experience

After breakfast, you will begin your exploration of Gabala, a region known for its natural beauty and seasonal charm. Whether covered in snow during winter or surrounded by lush greenery in warmer months, this area offers a varied experience throughout the year.
Your first stop is Nohur Lake, a peaceful spot set against a backdrop of mountains, ideal for a short walk and photos. You will then continue to the Tufandag Mountain Resort, where you will take a 2 or 4-line cable car ride, offering panoramic views across the surrounding landscapes.
Later, you will visit the Seven Beauties Waterfall, one of the region’s most well-known natural attractions, set within a forested area and reached by a short climb.
After completing the day’s visits, you will return to your hotel.
Day 3 - Sheki Heritage & Cultural Highlights

Gabala - Sheki - Kish - Sheki/Gabala. This morning, you will travel to the historic region of Sheki, known for its rich heritage and well-preserved architecture.
Your first visit is to the Palace of the Sheki Khans, an 18th-century masterpiece renowned for its intricate stained-glass windows and detailed craftsmanship. You will then continue to the Old Sheki Caravanserai, a historic Silk Road inn that once hosted travelling merchants.
You will also enjoy a walking tour through Sheki city centre, where you can browse local shops and, if you wish, try regional cuisine during your free time. As you explore, you will see traditional mosques, palaces and bazaars, with your guide providing insight into the area’s history.
Your final stop is the Albanian Church in Kish village, one of the oldest churches in the Caucasus, offering a glimpse into the region’s early Christian heritage.
After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Sheki or Gabala.
Day 4 - Return to Baku & Evening City Tour

Sheki /Gabala - Baku. Today, you will check out of your hotel and travel to Baku after your time in the regions. On arrival, you will check into your hotel and have some time to settle in before heading out in the evening.
Later, you will explore Baku from a different perspective on an evening city tour. You will visit Highland Park, where you can take in panoramic views over the city and the Caspian Sea, and see key landmarks including the Flame Towers, Martyrs’ Lane and the Eternal Flame Monument.
You will also pass by the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, Baku Conference Center, and along the Caspian waterfront Boulevard, Little Venice and the Carpet Museum, as well as Baku Crystal Hall, Flag Square and the Baku Ferris Wheel, all illuminated at night, before returning to your hotel for your overnight stay in Baku.
Day 5 - Baku City Tour

You will explore Baku on a guided city tour that showcases the city’s past, present and future, offering insight into its development from the 5th century through the Soviet era and into independence.
Your day begins in the Old City, where you will visit key historical landmarks including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Maiden Tower, House of Baku Khans, Bukhara and Multani Caravanserais, St. Bartholomew Church, Juma Mosque, Muhammad Mosque, Aga Mikayil Bath House and the Miniature Books Museum.
You will then continue to the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, a striking example of modern architecture and one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.
Later, you will head to Baku Boulevard, where you will visit the Carpet Museum and Little Venice, a charming area of canals and walkways along the Caspian Sea.
Your final stops are Nizami Street and Fountain Square, known for their lively atmosphere, shops and cafés.You will then be transferrred to the hotel.
Day 6 - Gobustan & Mud Volcanoes

Baku - Gobustan National Park - Baku. Today, you will embark on a journey to explore Azerbaijan’s prehistoric heritage and unique natural landscapes on a half-day tour from Baku.
You will begin with a visit to the Gobustan Museum, where you can learn about the lifestyle of ancient people who lived in this region thousands of years ago. You will then continue to the Gobustan petroglyphs - remarkable rock carvings that offer insight into early human life and culture.
The tour continues to the Gobustan mud volcanoes, one of the area’s most distinctive natural features, known for their bubbling, lunar-like landscape.
After completing the visits, you will return to Baku and be dropped off at your hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 7 - Absheron Peninsula & Fire Temples

Baku - Absheron Peninsula - Baku. This morning, you will explore the Absheron Peninsula, known for its unique natural phenomena and historical links to fire worship.
You will begin with a visit to Ateshgah - the Fire Temple, a castle-like religious site that has been used by Hindu, Sikh and Zoroastrian worshippers. The temple is closely connected to the region’s natural gas reserves, which have fuelled its sacred flames for centuries.
You will then continue to Yanar Dag - the Burning Mountain, where natural gas flames blaze continuously along a hillside, creating one of Azerbaijan’s most striking natural sights.
On your return to Baku, you will have free time in the city centre, allowing you to explore at your own pace or relax as you wish. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel
Day 8 - Departure from Baku
After your final breakfast, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping, further exploring, or simply relaxing before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Safe travels!
