Itinerary
Day 1 - Manaus to the Amazon Jungle
Manaus - Amazon Jungle. Our adventure begins with an early departure from Manaus as we journey by speedboat to the Meeting of the Waters—where the dark Rio Negro and sandy Solimoes flow side by side without mixing. Crossing this natural spectacle, we arrive at the village of Careiro, where the rhythm of riverside life sets the tone for the days ahead.
From here, we continue by road through rainforest-clad terrain to Paraná do Mamori. A final boat ride through narrow jungle channels delivers us to our Amazon lodge around 11h00. After checking into our lodge nestled deep in the forest, we enjoy a traditional Amazonian lunch.
This afternoon, we paddle into the flooded forest by canoe, where we try our luck at piranha fishing and may spot elusive pink river dolphins slicing through the water. After dinner back at the lodge, we venture out again on a nocturnal caiman safari—spotting these fascinating creatures and learning how to approach them safely with guidance from a local expert.

Day 2 - Jungle Trekking and Overnight in the Wild
At first light, we take to the river for a peaceful birdwatching excursion, listening to the dawn chorus as the forest stirs to life. After breakfast back at the lodge, we set off on a guided trek through the jungle. Walking beneath the canopy, we learn about medicinal plants, traditional survival techniques, and the habits of local wildlife, from monkeys to spiders and sloths.
We return for lunch, then prepare for a night in the wilderness. Departing in the afternoon, we travel by boat or on foot to a remote campsite, deep in the rainforest. As the sun sets, we gather around the fire, try our hand at spear fishing, and learn how to move, listen and observe like a true jungle guide.
The night is spent in hammocks under a simple shelter, immersed in the atmosphere of the rainforest after dark.
Day 3 - Forest Canoeing and Amazon Homestay
Wake to the gentle rhythm of the jungle, and enjoy a breakfast cooked over an open fire. The morning takes us paddling through the flooded forest, drifting silently between trees and narrow creeks. It’s a serene journey, with chances to spot birds, monkeys and hidden flora as your guide shares stories of the forest and its people.
We return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest before heading out again - this time to visit a local caboclo family. Welcomed into their home, we see how they process manioc flour from root to table, and learn about life on the riverbank through generations-old traditions.
This evening, we stay with the family for a night of cultural exchange. It’s a simple but enriching experience - sharing stories, meals and laughter, and sleeping in a room within their home as the river flows quietly outside.
Day 4 - Deeper Into the Rainforest
After breakfast, we continue our journey through the forest, venturing into a new area on foot or by boat depending on water levels. Each new path reveals a different side of the jungle—more untouched forest, more wildlife, and more stories from your guide, whose deep knowledge brings each moment to life.
We set up camp in a different location and enjoy lunch in the wild. In the afternoon, we explore further on foot, learning advanced survival skills and identifying signs of animal activity. As darkness falls, we take to the water for a final night-time canoe ride. Moving silently, we keep watch for nocturnal creatures that only emerge after sunset.
Dinner is prepared at camp, and we spend another night sleeping in the forest or with a local family, depending on the route and conditions.
Day 5 - Return to Manaus
Amazon Jungle - Manaus. We wake early for our final breakfast in the jungle, taking time to absorb the quiet beauty of the surroundings one last time. From here, we begin the journey back -first by boat or on foot to the lodge, where we arrive mid-morning.
After a relaxed farewell lunch, we set off at 1pm, retracing our route by boat and road. The scenery gradually shifts as we leave the wild behind and return to Manaus, arriving in the late afternoon with lasting memories of the Amazon’s incredible sights, sounds and people.
