Day 1 - Travel to the Ganges & Witness Sacred Aarti
We collect you from your Delhi hotel and drive north to Haridwar or Rishikesh along the banks of the Ganges – a journey of roughly 220 km, taking around five hours. On arrival, we help you check in and settle at the hotel. In the evening, we visit Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar for the Ganga Aarti – a moving nightly ritual of light and prayer on the river’s edge. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Explore Yoga Capital & Sacred Sites
After breakfast, we set out to explore Rishikesh – widely known as the Yoga Capital of the World – taking in views of the Ganges and the Himalayas from the iconic Lakshman Jhula and Ram Jhula suspension bridges. We continue to Kankhal in Haridwar to see its historic temples and peaceful ashrams, then visit the lively local markets, including Moti Bazaar – you can browse the colourful stalls for traditional handicrafts and aromatic spices. We visit the former Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, popularly called the Beatles Ashram, where the band spent time in the 1960s, and later stop at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, noted for its focus on yoga and meditation. As evening falls, we experience the Aarti at Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh by the confluence of the holy rivers. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Return to Delhi
We begin with an invigorating yoga session at the hotel, followed by breakfast. We then take a final moment to absorb the tranquil atmosphere at local temples before setting off for Delhi – a 220 km drive taking approximately five hours. On arrival, we transfer you to your Delhi hotel, bidding farewell to the serenity of Haridwar and Rishikesh.
