Itinerary
Day 1 - Killarney
We arrive in Killarney, famed for its three magnificent lakes at the heart of Kerry. We check into our B&B, then you can explore at leisure – choose a restaurant for dinner and perhaps enjoy some live music. We stay at Abbey Lodge (breakfast included).
Day 2 - Glenbeigh - Cahersiveen
We transfer to just outside Glenbeigh, then walk the northern shores of the peninsula to Cahersiveen, following a stagecoach route dating from the 17th century past deserted villages that once thrived with passing trade. Wide views stretch to the Dingle Peninsula, with Rossbeigh Strand and Inch Beach – famed for Ryan’s Daughter. We stay at San Antoine B&B (breakfast included).
Day 3 - Cahersiveen - Waterville
From Cahersiveen we take a short transfer to Coars Cross and set out for Waterville, crossing the tip of the peninsula with views north to the Dingle Peninsula and south over Kenmare Bay. We stay at Seaclusion B&B (breakfast included).
Day 4 - Waterville - Caherdaniel
We continue from Waterville, tracing a route around and above the coast to reach Caherdaniel, with glorious views towards the Skellig Islands and Ballinskelligs Bay. We stay at Derrymane Bay House (breakfast included).
Day 5 - Caherdaniel - Sneem
We follow an old butter road from Caherdaniel to Sneem, enjoying superb vistas across the Beara Peninsula and out to the Atlantic Ocean. We stay at Coomasig View (breakfast included).
Day 6 - Sneem - Kenmare
This morning we transfer to Tahilla Church, just outside Sneem, and walk to the renowned town of Kenmare along the shores of Kenmare Bay, with views across to the Beara Peninsula and the Caha Mountains. We stay at Rockcrest House (breakfast included).
Day 7 - Kenmare - Killarney
We set off from our accommodation through Esknamucky Glen and Killarney National Park to reach the magnificent Muckross House and Gardens – about 5 kilometres outside Killarney. You can spend time exploring the house and gardens before making your way into town for the night. This glorious walk may offer the chance to see or hear Ireland’s native red deer. We stay at Abbey Lodge (breakfast included).
Day 8 - Killarney
After breakfast we depart. Transfers can be arranged at a supplement, and you may choose to add extra nights in Killarney to finish your trip.
