Day 1 - Milan
Upon arrival in Milan, make your own way to the hotel and check in at your convenience. Transfers from the airport are available as an optional extra. Settle in and enjoy your first evening in this vibrant city. Overnight stay in Milan.
Day 2 - Milan
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at your leisure in Milan. You might visit the iconic Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) and take in the views from its rooftop terrace. Wander through the elegant Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, renowned for its luxury shops, before exploring the Pinacoteca di Brera, home to an impressive collection of Italian art. Later, admire Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece, The Last Supper, at the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie. Alternatively, join our guided Nat Geo Handmade in Milan tour (Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 am start, 2 to 4 hours), which delves into the city’s artisanal heritage in the Isola district. This shared tour visits traditional craft workshops, including a fashion atelier, a bookbinders’ shop, a furniture restoration studio and a jewellery cooperative, concluding with a typical Milanese lunch at a local trattoria. The meeting point is Piazzale Carlo Archinto, near the benches in front of the pizzeria. Please note this tour involves walking and is not suitable for wheelchairs or those with mobility difficulties. Overnight in Milan.
Day 3 - Milan
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a day at leisure to explore Milan’s contemporary art scene in the lively Navigli district, known for its charming canals and vibrant nightlife. Visit the historic Sforza Castle to discover its museums and gardens, then conclude your day in the modern Porta Nuova district, where the innovative Vertical Forest towers highlight cutting-edge architecture. Alternatively, join our guided tour tracing the footsteps of Giuseppe Verdi (not included). This shared tour, led in English, runs on Mondays from 2:30 pm and lasts two to four hours. It includes visits to the Fondazione Giuseppe Verdi, Casa Verdi—home to renowned artists—and La Scala Theatre’s museum, finishing with an aperitif at the Grand Hotel et de Milan, where Verdi lived for 27 years. Transport, admission fees, drinks and snacks are included. Meeting point is outside Fondazione Giuseppe Verdi in Buonarroti Square. Please note this tour is not suitable for wheelchairs. Overnight in Milan.
Day 4 - Milan
After breakfast, enjoy a final stroll through Milan to take in any last sights or pick up some souvenirs. When ready, we will arrange your transfer to the airport or train station, available as an optional extra, to continue your onward journey.
