Day 1 - Inca Trail & Sun Gate Experience

Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Winay Wayna - Aguas Calientes. Arrive in Cusco the day before the start of your tour. At 4 AM, you will be picked up from your accommodation as we depart Cusco by van towards Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, we will board a train travelling through the Sacred Valley to KM 104.
Arriving at KM 104, we begin a rewarding 4-hour uphill trek through cloud forest and lush valleys towards the archaeological site of Winay Wayna, located 2,700m above sea level. Along the way, your guide will share insights into the history and culture of the Inca region.
After a further 10-minute walk, we stop to enjoy lunch surrounded by towering mountains and ancient ruins.
We then continue ascending towards the legendary Inti Punku, also known as the Sun Gate. From this spectacular vantage point, we take in breathtaking views of Machu Picchu illuminated by the afternoon sun.
Afterwards, we descend by tourist bus to Aguas Calientes, where you can settle into your hotel and enjoy dinner ahead of tomorrow’s adventures.
Day 2 - Machu Picchu Guided Exploration

Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco. Today, we travel by tourist-class bus from Aguas Calientes to the legendary Machu Picchu, arriving early to witness the mystical morning light over the ancient citadel.
Upon arrival, we join our guide for an in-depth exploration of Machu Picchu’s most remarkable highlights. As we walk through the site, our guide shares fascinating insight into the history, architecture, and enduring mysteries of the Inca Empire.
Following the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the ruins at your own pace. Capture panoramic photographs, take in the breathtaking scenery, or simply soak up the magical atmosphere surrounding this world wonder.
For those seeking additional adventure, there is the option to hike Huayna Picchu with the 10:00 AM entry slot. This challenging one-hour ascent rewards you with spectacular views overlooking Machu Picchu.
Afterwards, we descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have leisure time to browse local shops, relax in a café, or visit the nearby market beside the train tracks for last-minute souvenirs.
Later, we board the train to Ollantaytambo before continuing by bus to Cusco. Upon arrival at Plaza San Francisco, you will make your own way to your accommodation.
Please note: the optional Huayna Picchu trek must be 1 to 2 months in advance due to availability.
