Day 1 - Arrival in Madrid
Once you have arrived in Madrid, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax or begin exploring the city independently.
Day 2 - Discovering Madrid
This morning, you will take a panoramic tour of Madrid, exploring the city’s medieval origins and historic districts. Your sightseeing includes the area of the old Arab fortress and the Barrio de la Morería, known for its traditional taverns and ancient streets. You will continue through the Habsburg district, seeing notable sites such as Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa.
Your tour then introduces you to the Madrid of the Bourbons and the urban planning of Charles III, passing key landmarks including the Royal Palace, the Cibeles and Neptune fountains, and Puerta de Alcalá.
You will also view significant 19th-century locations such as Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum area, before discovering modern Madrid along Gran Vía, Paseo de la Castellana, the Salamanca neighbourhood, Parque del Oeste and the commercial and financial zones of the city, as well as the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore Madrid independently or relax at your hotel.
Day 3 - Salamanca & Porto
Madrid - Salamanca (Spain) - Porto (Portugal). You will depart Madrid and travel towards Salamanca, where you will have free time to explore this historic university city, recognised for its remarkable architectural and artistic heritage.
After your visit, you will continue across the Portuguese border and make your way to Porto. On arrival, the remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 4 - Exploring Porto
Today, you will explore Porto on a guided panoramic tour, gaining an overview of the city’s historic centre and its most notable landmarks. You will see important sites such as the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange building and the Church of Santa Clara.
After your tour, you will head towards the Douro River area for a closer look at the waterfront, before visiting one of Porto’s traditional Port wine cellars, where a tasting is included.
The remainder of the day is free for you to continue discovering the city at your own pace.
Day 5 - Coimbra & Fatima
Porto - Coimbra - Fatima. You will leave Porto and travel south to Coimbra, a city known for its historic university and long academic heritage.
You will have free time to explore independently before continuing to Fatima, one of the most important pilgrimage centres in the Christian world. Here, you will see the sanctuary area, including the Basilica, the Chapel of the Apparitions and the tombs of the three shepherd children.
In the evening, you will have the option to attend the candlelight procession.
Day 6 - Batalha to Lisbon
Fatima - Batalha - Nazare - Alcobaca - Lisbon. After breakfast, you will depart Fatima and make your way to the Batalha Monastery, an outstanding example of Gothic and Manueline architecture and a recognised UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You will then continue to the coastal town of Nazare, where you will have free time to explore or enjoy the seaside atmosphere.
Your journey then takes you to Alcobaca, home to an important 12th-century Cistercian monastery with a notable Gothic church. Following your visit, you will travel onwards to Lisbon, where the remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 7 - Discovering Lisbon
This morning, you will take a guided tour of Lisbon, visiting the city’s key areas, including its main squares and avenues, the Belem Tower, the exterior of Jerónimos Monastery and the Monument to the Discoveries.
The afternoon is free for you to explore more of Lisbon independently, perhaps visiting the Alfama district or joining the optional excursion to Sintra and Cascais.
Day 8 - Merida at Leisure & Journey to Cordoba
Lisbon (Portugal) - Merida (Spain) - Cordoba. You will leave Lisbon and travel east towards Mérida, the capital of Extremadura. Here, you will have free time to see some of the city’s remarkable Roman remains, including the theatre, amphitheatre and ancient bridge, all part of its UNESCO-listed heritage.
After your visit, you will continue your journey to Córdoba, once the seat of the Moorish Caliphate, where the remainder of the day is at leisure.
Day 9 - Exploring Cordoba & Transfer to Seville
Cordoba - Seville. Today, you will explore Córdoba with a visit to its impressive Mosque–Cathedral, followed by a walk through the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter.
After completing your sightseeing, you will travel to Seville, arriving in the afternoon. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 10 - Discovering Seville
After breakfast, you will set out on a panoramic tour of Seville. Your morning will include visits to the Cathedral, the Santa Cruz quarter, María Luisa Park and the impressive Plaza de España.
The afternoon is free for you to explore Seville further at your own pace. An optional flamenco show is available in the evening.
Day 11 - Ronda & Costa del Sol
Seville - Ronda - Costa del Sol. In the morning, you will leave Seville and travel south, passing typical Andalusian villages on your way to Ronda. On arrival, you will have free time to explore the town and enjoy the impressive views over the surrounding valley and mountains.
In the afternoon, you will continue to the Costa del Sol, where the remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 12 - Costa del Sol at Leisure
You will have the day at leisure to enjoy the beaches and facilities of the Costa del Sol, explore the local area independently or speak to your guide to take part in one of the optional excursions available.
Day 13 - Ferry to Morocco
Costa del Sol (Spain) - Tangier (Morocco) - Casablanca. This morning, you will travel along the Costa del Sol to either Tarifa or Algeciras, where you will board the ferry for the short crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangier. After disembarking and completing entry formalities, you will continue to Casablanca.
Day 14 - Casablanca to Marrakech
Casablanca - Marrakech. This morning, you explore Casablanca’s main sights, including United Nations Square, the Corniche Boulevard and the exterior of the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and dramatically set over the Atlantic.
You then continue to Marrakech, often called the Pearl of the South. On arrival, begin your sightseeing with the Menara Gardens, a historic retreat featuring a side pavilion and vast olive groves dating back to the Almohad period. You also see the exterior of the Koutoubia Minaret, Marrakech’s most recognisable landmark and the architectural twin of Seville’s Giralda.
Entering the old city, visit the Bahia Palace, once the residence of a powerful city noble and renowned for its elegant courtyards and intricate decoration. Finish the day at Djemaa el-Fna Square, one of Morocco’s most fascinating and lively spaces, from where you can access the souks and the medina. Here, visit a selection of traditional artisan guilds, including woodworkers, potters, leatherworkers and spice merchants, offering a vivid insight into Marrakech’s enduring craft traditions.
Day 15 - Rabat, Meknes & Fes
Marrakech - Rabat - Meknes - Fes. Breakfast and early departure towards Rabat, the capital of the country. Here, visit the city’s most emblematic sights, including the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret and one of Morocco’s most important historic landmarks.
You then continue to Meknes, an imperial city founded by Sultan Moulay Ismail. See the impressive Bab el Mansour walls, considered among the finest monumental gates in North Africa. From here, travel on to Fes, arriving in the evening for accommodation.
Day 16 - Exploring Fes
This morning, you explore Fes, the oldest and most monumental of Morocco’s Imperial Cities. Your sightseeing includes the seven doors of the Royal Palace, the historic Jewish Quarter or Mellah, and the iconic Bab Bou Jeloud gate. You then enjoy a walk through the vast and atmospheric medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. The afternoon is at leisure, giving you time to relax or continue exploring the city at your own pace.
Day 17 - Ferry back to Spain
Fes - Tangier (Morocco) - Costa del Sol (Spain). After breakfast, you will leave Fes and travel north to Tangier.
On arrival, you will transfer to the port and board the ferry for your return crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar to Spain. Once back on the mainland, you will continue along the Costa del Sol to your hotel for your overnight stay.
Day 18 - Day at Leisure in Costa del Sol
You will have another day at leisure in the Costa del Sol to relax on the beach, enjoy the hotel’s facilities, explore the surrounding area independently or speak to your guide to join one of the optional excursions available.
Day 19 - Costa del Sol to Granada
Costa del Sol - Granada. Today, you will leave the Costa del Sol and travel to Granada, once the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms in Spain.
On arrival, you will visit the Alhambra complex and the Generalife Gardens, renowned for their historic architecture and beautifully landscaped grounds. After your visit, you will go to your hotel for check-in.
In the evening, you will have the option to attend a Flamenco Zambra show.
Day 20 - Exploring Toledo & Transfer to Madrid
Granada - Toledo - Madrid. You will depart Granada and travel north towards Toledo, a historic city situated above the Tagus River. On arrival, you will take a short guided tour through its medieval streets, where Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures once coexisted. After your visit, you will continue to Madrid for your final overnight stay.
Day 21 - Departure from Madrid
After your final breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight, bringing your tour to an end. Safe travels!
