Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in Madrid
On arrival in Madrid, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to relax or begin exploring the city at your own pace.
Day 2 - Madrid City Tour
This morning, you will enjoy a panoramic city tour of Madrid, tracing its evolution from medieval origins to the present day. You will see the area of the old Arab fortress and the Barrio de la Morería, known for its historic buildings and traditional taverns. You continue through the Habsburg district, linked to Philip II, taking in Renaissance and Baroque sites such as Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa.
You then discover the Madrid of the Bourbons and the urban planning of Charles III, passing the Royal Palace, Cibeles Fountain, Neptune Fountain and Puerta de Alcalá. Nineteenth-century landmarks such as Plaza de Oriente and the Prado Museum area are also included.
Finally, you explore contemporary Madrid, including Gran Vía, Paseo de la Castellana, the Salamanca neighbourhood, Parque del Oeste, the main commercial and financial areas of modern Madrid, and the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
The afternoon is at leisure for you to continue exploring Madrid independently or simply relax.
Day 3 - Merida & Cordoba
Madrid - Merida - Cordoba. After breakfast, you will depart Madrid and travel west towards Extremadura, a region known for its rich Roman heritage and historic significance. Your first stop is Merida, the regional capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will have time to see some of its most important Roman remains, including the theatre, amphitheatre and the impressive Roman bridge.
Following your visit, you continue your journey south to Cordoba, once the capital of the Moorish Caliphate. On arrival, the remainder of the day is free for you to relax or explore the city at your own pace.
Day 4 - Exploring Cordoba & Journey to Seville
Cordoba - Seville. You will begin your day with a guided visit to Cordoba’s remarkable Mosque–Cathedral, followed by a walk through the narrow streets of the Jewish Quarter. After completing your sightseeing, you will travel south to Seville. On arrival, the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Day 5 - Exploring Seville
Today, you will enjoy a guided tour of Seville, visiting the city’s key sights including the Cathedral – the second largest in the Catholic world – the Santa Cruz quarter, María Luisa Park and the impressive Plaza de Espana.
The afternoon is free for you to explore Seville at your own pace. An optional flamenco show is available in the evening.
Day 6 - Ronda & Costa del Sol
Seviile - Ronda - Costa del Sol. After breakfast, you will depart Seville and travel south through typical Andalusian villages towards Ronda. On arrival, you will have free time to explore this historic hilltop town and take in its impressive views of the surrounding valley and mountains.
In the afternoon, you will continue your journey to the Costa del Sol, one of Spain’s most popular coastal regions. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 7 - Costa del Sol at Leisure
You will have the day at leisure to enjoy the beaches and facilities of the Costa del Sol, explore the surrounding area independently, or take part in one of the optional excursions available.
Day 8 - Ferry to Morocco
Costa del Sol (Spain) - Tarifa/Algeciras (Morocco) - Tangier - Casablanca. This morning, you will travel along the Costa del Sol to either Tarifa or Algeciras, where you will board the ferry for the short crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangier. After disembarking and completing formalities, you will continue by coach to Casablanca.
Day 9 - Casablanca to Marrakech
Casablanca - Marrakech. This morning, you explore Casablanca’s main sights, including United Nations Square, the Corniche Boulevard and the exterior of the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and dramatically set over the Atlantic.
You then continue to Marrakech, often called the Pearl of the South. On arrival, begin your sightseeing with the Menara Gardens, a historic retreat featuring a side pavilion and vast olive groves dating back to the Almohad period. You also see the exterior of the Koutoubia Minaret, Marrakech’s most recognisable landmark and the architectural twin of Seville’s Giralda.
Entering the old city, visit the Bahia Palace, once the residence of a powerful city noble and renowned for its elegant courtyards and intricate decoration. Finish the day at Djemaa el-Fna Square, one of Morocco’s most fascinating and lively spaces, from where you can access the souks and the medina. Here, visit a selection of traditional artisan guilds, including woodworkers, potters, leatherworkers and spice merchants, offering a vivid insight into Marrakech’s enduring craft traditions.
Day 10 - Rabat, Meknes & Fes
Marrakech - Rabat - Meknes - Fes. Breakfast and early departure towards Rabat, the capital of the country. Here, visit the city’s most emblematic sights, including the exterior of the Royal Palace, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret and one of Morocco’s most important historic landmarks.
You then continue to Meknes, an imperial city founded by Sultan Moulay Ismail. See the impressive Bab el Mansour walls, considered among the finest monumental gates in North Africa. From here, travel on to Fes, arriving in the evening for accommodation.
Day 11 - Exploring Fes
This morning, explore Fes, the oldest and most monumental of Morocco’s Imperial Cities. Your sightseeing includes the seven doors of the Royal Palace, the historic Jewish Quarter or Mellah, and the iconic Bab Bou Jeloud gate. You then enjoy a walk through the vast and atmospheric medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. The afternoon is at leisure, giving you time to relax or continue exploring the city at your own pace.
Day 12 - Back to Spain
Fes - Tangier - Tarifa/Algeciras (Morocco) - Costa del Sol (Spain). This morning, you will depart Fes and travel north to Tangier. On arrival, you will transfer to the port and board the ferry for your return crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar to Spain. Once back on the mainland, you will continue to the Costa del Sol for your overnight stay.
Day 13 - Costa del Sol at Leisure
After breakfast, you will have the day at leisure to enjoy the beaches and facilities of the Costa del Sol, explore the surrounding areas, or join one of the optional excursions available.
Day 14 - Exploring Granada
Costa del Sol - Granada. Today, you will depart the Costa del Sol and travel towards Granada, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms. On arrival, you will visit the renowned Alhambra complex and the Generalife Gardens, known for their impressive architecture and historic significance.
The evening is at your leisure, with an optional Flamenco Zambra show available.
Day 15 - Exploring Toledo & Transfer to Madrid
Granada - Toledo - Madrid. This morning, you will depart Granada and travel north to Toledo, a historic city overlooking the Tagus River. On arrival, you will take a short guided walk through its medieval streets, where Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures once lived side by side.
After your visit, you will continue to Madrid for your final overnight stay.
Day 16 - Departure from Madrid
After your final breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. Safe Travels!
