You’ll wander Bern’s medieval lanes and take in the Rose Garden view, ride the Glacier 3000 cable car – perhaps brave the bridge linking two peaks – and tour Lake Geneva’s highlights including Chillon Castle, Montreux and Geneva’s Jet d’Eau. Continue via Lausanne and Gruyères for cheese and chocolate tasting, then on to Interlaken and the Aare Gorge. Cross high passes towards Italian speaking Lugano for a lake cruise, visit Bellinzona’s UNESCO listed castles, and round off in Lucerne’s old town before returning to Zurich.
