Itinerary
Day 1 - Istanbul
On arrival at Istanbul Airport, we meet you and transfer you to your hotel in central Istanbul, passing some of the city's vibrant districts en route. The rest of the day is yours – you can wander the streets, browse the markets and take in the city's historic landmarks at your own pace.
Day 2 - Istanbul
We spend a full day exploring Istanbul's historic Old City with a specialist local guide – home to many of the city's foremost Byzantine and Ottoman landmarks. We visit the Blue Mosque to admire its domes, minarets and intricate tilework, explore Hagia Sophia, a monumental symbol of centuries of history, tour Topkapi Palace – the former residence of Ottoman sultans – moving through elegant courtyards and royal chambers, pause at the Hippodrome of Constantinople, once the ceremonial and sporting heart of the Byzantine Empire, and finish in the Grand Bazaar, one of the world's largest covered markets, where thousands of shops sell textiles, jewellery, spices and souvenirs.
Day 3 - Istanbul
We cruise along the Bosphorus – the storied strait dividing Europe and Asia – admiring historic landmarks from the water. We then cross to the Asian side and walk up to Camlica Hill for panoramic views over the Bosphorus and the city skyline. Afterwards, you have free time to explore at your own pace – wander the streets, browse the markets and seek out the historic sights that catch your eye.
Day 4 - Istanbul
You have free time to explore Istanbul – linger in atmospheric streets, browse bustling markets and revisit favourite landmarks at your own pace. Later, we arrange your transfer from your hotel to Istanbul Airport for your onward departure.
