Day 1 - Amritsar & Wagah Border
On arrival at Amritsar airport, we meet you and arrange your transfer to the hotel for a smooth check-in. The afternoon is free – you can relax or start exploring at your own pace.
In the evening, we head to the Wagah border to witness the Beating Retreat – a spirited 30 minutes of precision and camaraderie as Indian and Pakistani soldiers perform the daily flag lowering. Join the crowd for the lively atmosphere of cheers, the national anthem and Bollywood tunes, then we return to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2 - Exploring Amritsar & Golden Temple
After breakfast, we set out on a city tour of Amritsar – beginning at the Golden Temple, the holiest Sikh shrine. We pass through the Clock Tower to the Sikh Museum for insight into Sikh history and culture. At Guru Ka Langar, we witness the community kitchen at work and can join the Langar Seva to experience the principles of equality and service in practice.
We then visit Durgiana Temple – a Hindu place of worship with architecture reminiscent of the Golden Temple – before continuing to the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum to view paintings, weapons, manuscripts and coins from the era of the Sikh Empire. At Gobindgarh Fort, we explore the ramparts, gateways and historic military exhibits. We round off the day with an auto rickshaw ride through the old market, taking in its lively streets; you can chat with vendors, sample street snacks and browse traditional wares. We also call at local markets such as Hall Bazaar and Katra Jaimal Singh to see Phulkari embroidery and other Punjabi handicrafts – you can shop for embroidered textiles, colourful turbans and souvenirs. Return to the hotel in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Amritsar
After breakfast, you have the morning free for personal plans or some last–minute shopping. We’ll coordinate your transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule, bringing your memorable stay in Amritsar to a close.
