They were all very kind and knowledgable and made the whole experience far more accessible than it would have been if we attempted to do this independently. Some visits were rushed and time was limited. But our main disappointment was the number of places we were taken because the guides were on commission - it was awkward not wishing to buy there and as a small group we felt very exposed.

The combination of the jeep ride, being in the mountians and the history made this a stand out experience. Our driver also recommended a place for dinner in Jaipur with a cultural dance. Our driver was exceptional. Accommodation supposed to be 4 star. The accommodation in Delhi was 2.5-3 star & Ranthambore 3 star. Delhi accommodation was disappointing. We loved visiting and seeing local artisans but there was constant expectation & pressure to purchase things. Little information re cash needed for site visita.

The safari was way too long and we did not see a tiger!!!! However, met lovely people on the jeep ride. The first hotel was rather awful. Could not have been 4 star. Food was good however. There were no facilities to enjoy, no pool or outdoor area sit and have a drink in the evening. It was on an extremely busy road, and was so noisy. We felt stranded. The other hotels were nice.

An action packed fortnight in the Southern Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, that simply has it all!Private Tours14Overall, the tour was good but there was too much free leisure time. The tour could have been a few days shorter. Our driver, Pandyan was fantastic. He was always polite, helpful and easy to get along with. The most disappointing part was the Alleppey Riceboat.
