Itinerary
Day 1 - Jamnagar - Bhuj - Hodka
Bhuj to Hodka – 65 km – approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. We set off from Bhuj towards the Banni region, known for its distinctive artistic heritage. En route we witness Rogan art, a centuries-old form of fabric painting that uses natural colours mixed with Rogan, watching artisans create finely detailed designs. We then continue to Hodka, a village set amid the arid landscapes of Kutch, and check in to your resort. As evening approaches, we visit the White Rann to watch the sun set over the vast salt desert before returning to Hodka. Overnight at your resort.
Day 2 - Bhuj - Dhordo - Khavda
From Hodka, we rise early for the White Rann of Kutch to watch sunrise wash the salt desert in soft pink and gold. After breakfast, we visit Dhordo to meet members of the Mutwa Muslim community, then stop at a nearby Pathan hamlet known for intricate embroidery. We continue to Khavda to see the traditions of the Samma community and local craftsmanship. In the late afternoon, we head to Kala Dungar – the highest point in Kutch – for wide desert views and sunset.
Day 3 - Hodka - Bhuj
After a relaxed breakfast at your resort, we depart Hodka for Bhuj – a 65 km drive taking approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. On arrival, we transfer you to Bhuj airport for your onward travel. Take a final moment to reflect on the White Rann and the craftsmanship and warm hospitality that define Kutch as you bid the region farewell.
