Day 2 - Delhi
After breakfast, we explore Old Delhi, beginning with a visit to Jama Masjid, the city’s grand 17th-century mosque located in the vibrant Chandi Chowk area. On the way, we pass the imposing Red Fort, a symbol of Mughal power. Next, we visit Raj Ghat, the solemn memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. In the afternoon, we tour New Delhi’s key landmarks, starting with the Qutub Minar, the tallest brick minaret in the world and a fine example of Indo-Islamic architecture. We continue through the Rashtrapati Bhavan district, home to the presidential residence, important government buildings and the national parliament. The route also includes a view of the Gateway of India and the Salt March monument, reflecting significant moments in India’s history. Finally, we visit Connaught Place, the city’s bustling commercial centre. We return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Delhi.
Day 3 - Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast, we depart for Jaipur, known as the 'Pink City' of Rajasthan. En route, we stop for lunch at Shahpura Haveli, an elegant restaurant set in a traditional village mansion. After lunch, we continue to Jaipur and attend the Aarti ceremony at the Birla Temple, a modern Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Following this spiritual experience, you have the rest of the day at leisure after checking into your hotel. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 4 - Jaipur
After breakfast, we travel to Amber Fort, perched on a hill just outside Jaipur. We ascend to the fort in a traditional jeep without air conditioning. Inside, explore the impressive palaces of Jagmandir and Jai Mahal, the Kali temple, and the well-maintained gardens. In the afternoon, we visit Jaipur’s key landmarks, including the City Palace with its Chandra Mahal, Mubarak Mahal, and the intricately decorated Peacock Gate. We also pass by the iconic Hawa Mahal, known as the Palace of Winds, and conclude with a visit to the historic Jantar Mantar observatory before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 - Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
After breakfast, we depart for Agra, travelling through the arid landscapes of Rajasthan. En route, we visit Fatehpur Sikri, the well-preserved ‘ghost city’ built by Emperor Akbar the Great as the Mughal capital in the 16th century. Here, we explore a remarkable collection of palaces, pavilions and mosques that reflect the empire’s power and wealth, including the Salim Chisti Mausoleum, the Panch Mahal and the Jama Masjid. After this fascinating visit, we continue to Agra for hotel check-in and an evening at leisure.
Day 6 - Agra
After breakfast, we visit the Taj Mahal, a stunning marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. This iconic monument took 22 years to complete, with artisans and architects brought from across the world to create its exquisite design. In the afternoon, we explore Agra Fort, a formidable red sandstone fortress housing numerous Mughal palaces and pavilions. Highlights include the Diwan-i-Am, where the emperor held public audiences, and the Diwan-i-Khas, used for private meetings with dignitaries. We also visit the Mina Masjid, a small white marble mosque within the fort. After the tour, return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Agra.

From there, we drive to Khajuraho, stopping en route at Orchha, a town rich in heritage. Here, you can explore the impressive palace-fort situated on an island, the chhatris cenotaphs, and several Hindu temples. Wander through the rustic streets to discover the faded splendour of monuments built by the Bundela Rajputs over four centuries. After the visit, we continue by road to Khajuraho, where you will have the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Khajuraho.

After breakfast, we visit the Sangam – the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati rivers. We then pause for photos at Allah Fort, built by Emperor Akbar in 1583, before seeing Anand Bhavan, the Nehru family’s ancestral home, and the Hanuman Mandir, notable for its statue of the sleeping god Hanuman. Following this exploration of Allahabad’s key sites, we continue by road to Varanasi. Upon arrival, we check in to the hotel. In the afternoon, we attend the Aarti ceremony on the ghats of the Ganges, a moving ritual that honours the river’s spiritual significance. Overnight in Varanasi.
Day 10 - Varanasi
We begin the day with an early morning boat ride on the Ganges, weather and water levels permitting. Witnessing sunrise over the river—known locally as Subeh Banaras—is a profound experience as the ghats come alive with devotees performing ablutions, prayers, and rituals. At Manikarnika Ghat, cremations take place continuously; photography is not allowed here. From Dasaswamedh Ghat, we take a boat ride along the riverfront to observe the vibrant daily life on the ghats. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, we explore Varanasi, visiting the Bharat Mata Temple, the Vishwanath Temple—also called the Golden Temple, with entry restricted to Hindus—and the University of Varanasi campus. In the afternoon, we travel 10 kilometres to Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first sermon. This sacred site features the Dhamek Stupa and the remains of ancient monasteries dating back to the 3rd century BC. The archaeological museum here houses the famous Sarnath pillar, whose four-lion capital is India’s national emblem. We return to Varanasi for the night.
Day 11 - Delhi
After breakfast, enjoy a free morning at your leisure. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi (flight not included). Upon arrival in Delhi, you will be assisted with your transfer to the international airport for your onward journey home.
