Day 1 - Mumbai
Arrive in Mumbai. On arrival at Mumbai airport, our representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel – standard check-in is from 12:00, and early check-in is subject to availability. The rest of the day is free for you to relax or pursue personal activities. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Mumbai
We take a motorboat from the Gateway of India to Elephanta Island, about 10 kilometres offshore, to explore its rock‑cut cave temples dating back to the 5th century. Returning to the city, we continue with a Mumbai tour, visiting the Gateway of India and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya museum. We then follow Marine Drive – the shoreline route from Nariman Point to Malabar Hill – and wander through the Hanging Gardens, laid out in 1881 and known for their animal‑shaped hedges. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Mumbai - Daman
Mumbai – Daman (190 km – 4 hours approx). After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Daman and check in on arrival. Later, we explore the city’s Portuguese-era landmarks, including the Cathedral of Bom Jesus – built in 1603, noted for its altarpiece and intricately carved doorway – and St Jerome Fort (Nani Daman Fort) in the north. Across the Daman Ganga River, we visit Moti Daman Fort, which holds the ruins of a Dominican monastery and the Basilica of Bom Jesus, known for its gilt altarpiece. Nearby, the Chapel of Our Lady of Rosary features detailed carvings. You then have free time to relax on the beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Daman - Ankleshwar
After breakfast, we drive from Daman to Ankleshwar – 200 km, around four hours – and check in to the hotel.We explore Shri Ankleshwar Tirth, which includes four Digambar Jain temples, among them the Chintamani Parsvanath. We also visit Mahavir Swami Mandir, Adinath Mandir and Neminath Mandir, with the Mahavir temple the largest. Local belief holds that the idols of Sheetalnath, Parsvanath and Nandi were found about two kilometres away in the Raskunda area and that the cart carrying them stopped at the site of the present temple. Ankleshwar is also noted as the place where Bhootbali and Pushpa Danta, followers of Pargami Acharya Dharsen, lived for four months and planned their srut prachar.You have free time to relax. Day 5 - Ankleshwar
After breakfast, we drive 90 kilometres – around 2 hours – from Ankleshwar to Kevadia and check in at Tent City or a hotel near the Statue of Unity. In the afternoon we visit Sardar Sarovar Dam, the Selfie Point and the Valley of Flowers. In the evening we enjoy the Laser Show – a light and sound presentation projected onto the Statue of Unity that operates every evening except Monday – with narration on Sardar Patel’s life, his role in the Independence Movement and the unification of India. Dinner is served in the Dining Area with live music. Overnight in a tent or hotel.
Day 6 - Pavagadh - Champaner - Vadodara - Kevadia - Dabhoi
Statue of Unity – Pavagadh – Champaner – Vadodara (150 km – about 3 hours) After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Statue of Unity, the world’s tallest statue at 182 metres. The pedestal houses a 4,647 sq m exhibition on Sardar Patel’s life, the independence movement and the integration of princely states. High–speed lifts take us up around 400 feet through the core of the statue for panoramic views. After sightseeing, we drive to Vadodara via the Champaner–Pavagadh Archaeological Park, Gujarat’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its forts, temples, mosques, mausoleum complexes, pavilions, wells and tanks. We see Champaner’s Jami Masjid, built around 1523 and a landmark of 16th–century Indo–Saracenic architecture. En route, we also visit the historic citadel of Dabhoi, noted for its 12th–century gateway. On arrival in Vadodara, we check in at the hotel. You have the rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 - Vadodara - Bhavnagar - Baroda - Lothal
After breakfast in Vadodara, we visit Lakshmi Vilas Palace – reputedly the largest private residence ever built and around four times the size of Buckingham Palace. Notable for its early lifts and grand European-style interiors, it remains the royal family’s home. The 500‑acre estate also includes LVP Banquets & Conventions, Moti Bagh Palace and the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. We then drive to Lothal to explore the archaeological remains of a Harappan port town, including the site’s notable dockyard and the on‑site museum for context. Continue to Bhavnagar – around 200 km and approximately 4 hours in total driving – where we check in to the hotel for the night.
Day 8 - Bhavnagar - Palitana - Junagarh - Junagadh
After breakfast we drive from Bhavnagar to Junagarh – about 215 km and roughly 4 hours by road – stopping en route at Palitana, 51 km south west of Bhavnagar. Known as the largest cluster of Jain temples, Palitana’s 863 temples rise from the base to the summit of Shatrunjaya Hill. If you wish, you can climb the 3,950 steps over 3.5 km to the peak. The complex took shape over approximately 900 years and was built in two phases. We then continue to Junagarh and check in at the hotel. You have the rest of the day free to relax. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - Junagarh - Sasan Gir National Park - Junagadh
After breakfast at the hotel, we explore Junagadh, an ancient fortified city at the foot of temple‑studded Girnar Hill. The city takes its name from the old fort that encircles the medieval town, and we see Ashoka’s 14 edicts carved on a large boulder en route to Mount Girnar, a site sacred to Jains. We also visit Uperkot Fort – a sombre, once‑inaccessible stronghold. In the afternoon we drive to Sasan Gir National Park (70 km – approx. 1.3 hours) and check in at the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 - Sasan Gir National Park - Diu
Sasan Gir - Diu (100kms/ 2hrs approx) Breakfast at hotel followed by safari in Gir Wildlife Sanctuary. Sprawling in an area of 1424 sq. kms, Gir with its dry deciduous forest is a luxuriantly rich ecosystem endowed with floral and faunal plentitude. Thirty species of mammals, twenty species of reptiles, several species of insects and birds are found here. The forest is the only place in the world, outside Africa, where the lion can be seen in its natural habitat. The forest also harbors a number of smaller birds and animals. Other predators are the panther and the hyena. The largest Indian deer, Sambhar, Chital (spotted deer), Nilgai (blue bull), Chinkara and the unique Chowsingha (four horned antelope) are found here along with the bear and the long tailed langur. Gir is also one of the finest bird sanctuaries in India. Some of the typical birds of Gir are the crested serpent eagle, crested hawk eagle, brown fish owl, king vulture, jungle quail, paradise flycatcher, pygmy woodpecker, hard headed oriole etc. Adholia, Valadera, Ratanghuna and Pilipat are rewarding places for bird watching. Another attraction is a crocodile farm developed in the forest. Late afternoon drive to Diu check in at hotel. Rest time to relax and walk on the beach. Overnight at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 - Diu - Ghoghla
Diu Diu Fort a very large and imposing structure, situated on the coast of the island. This fort was constructed between 1535 and 1541 AD after the treaty signed between the Sultan of Gujarat and the Portuguese. The fort is surrounded by the sea on the three sides and a canal on the fourth side. The fort offers a magnificent view of sea. On the fort stands a giant structure which now houses a Light House and the Diu jail. The beam from the lighthouse reaches to about 32 kms. Several canons are still located on the top of the fort and peep out of the holes on the walls of this gigantic structure. Fortress of Panikota is a magnificent stone structure in the sea, built right at the mouth of the creek. This fortress can be reached only by a canoe or a motor launch. This fortress has a light house and small chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Sea. The fortress offers a very beautiful view whether seen from the jetty, from the Fort, from the village of Ghoghla or from Diu proper. Old Town has a few old mansions belonging to rich Portuguese and Indian merchants. The colorful three-story Nagar Sheth Haveli has porticoes, carved balconies, stone-made lions and intricate arches in European and Indian styles.Rest time free and easy to relax. Overnight at hotel. Day 12 - Diu - Somnath - Porbandar - Dwarka
Diu - Somnath - Porbandar - Dwarka (330kms/ 7hrs approx) Breakfast at hotel drive to Dwarka, enroute visit Somnath & Porbandar. Somnath Temple (Jyotirlinga) - The principal temple of Somnath is believed to have been built in gold by the moon god Soma, in silver by the sun god Ravi, in wood by Krishna and in stone by the Solanki Rajputs in the 11th century. The present temple, built in 1951, is the seventh reconstruction on the original site. Tales of its riches attracted a series of invasions, but each time the temple was invaded, it was restored to its original glory by devout Hindu worshipers. Paanch Pandav Caves - situated in the Lalghati near the Temple City of Somnath is typically a cave temple revered by the followers of Hinduism. The Late Baba Narayandas discovered this cave temple in the year of 1949, which is dedicated to the famous five Pandavas Yudhisthira, Arjuna, Mahabali Bheema, Nakul and Sahdev. Pandav spent time in this temple during the term of their exile. The Panch Pandav Gufa also has shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Ram, Lord Laxman, Devi Sita, Goddess Durga and Lord Hanuman. Suraj Mandir - located North of the sangam (where three rivers meet). The architecture features many animal figurines like lions, and huge elephant trunks. In the front of the temple, above the entrance doorway, is an image of Surya with his seven horses below him and his two wives. Around the shrine, in the circumambulatory passage, are three image niches, one on each of the north, south and west sides. They contain iconography of Vishnu and Lakshmi, Brahma with Saraswati, and Shiva with Parvati, this place is one of the best for an surreal Somnath sightseeing experience. Porbandar - visit The Haveli where Gandhi was born on Oct 2, 1869. The room where he was born has been preserved as it is, and has a stark look. A part of the house has now been converted into a museum and called the Kirti Mandir. Open from 9am to 12pm and again from 3pm to 6pm. Continue drive to Dwarka check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 - Dwarka - Rajkot
Dwarka - Rajkot (225kms/ 5hrs approx) Marine National Park by ferry. The 458 sq km of Marine Wildlife Sanctuary, is an archipelago of 42 tropical islands along the northern coast of Jamnagar district. As the sanctuary lies in the inter-tidal zone, it is convenient to observe the marine habitat, including saline grasslands, mudflats, coral reefs, and mangroves. Some of the commonly seen marine animals here are giant sea anemone, sponges, starfish sea cucumber, octopus, puffer fish, sea urchins, etc. Pirotan and a few other islands are known for their coral reefs. The mangroves shelter a variety of birds too. Return to hotel and visit Nageshwar temple (Jyotirlinga). Dwarka is an ancient city known as a Hindu pilgrimage site. The ancient Dwarkadhish Temple has an elaborately tiered main shrine, a carved entrance and a black-marble idol of Lord Krishna. Dwarka Beach and nearby Dwarka Lighthouse offer views of the Arabian Sea. Southeast, Gaga Wildlife Sanctuary protects migratory birds and endangered species like the Indian wolf. Day 14 - Rajkot - Ahmedabad
Rajkot - Ahmedabad (215kms/ 5hrs approx) Breakfast at hotel. Visit Jubilee Garden - a large and open park area in Rajkot. It features many monuments of colonial time. The centre of the city garden is the Connaught Hall and other notable places of interest near the Garden include the historic Mohandas Gandhi High School, Kaba Gandhi No Delo, Rashtriya Shala, Watson Museum, Lang Library, and Rotary Midtown Library. Watson Museum has a great collection of precious objects of colonial period and is considered to be one the finest in Gujarat. It was made to commemorate the works of the then administrator Colonel James Watson in 1888. The museum also houses a varied collection of old artefacts from the ancient city of Mohenjodaro. Day 15 - Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad Hatheesing Jain Temple - Hatheesingh Jain Temple was established in 1850 by Seth Hatheesing, who was a rich Jain merchant. This temple is dedicated to the 15th 'Jain Tirthankar', known as Dharamnath. Bhadra fort - A beautiful monument that is famous for its intricate carvings, pattern works and beautiful frescos suits. Arches at the entry gate, has some inscriptions that represents the history of the fort. Jama Mosque - There are different entrances to the mosque. Near the eastern entrance, stands the tomb of the Sultan Ahmed Shah, which houses the graveyard of three great rulers, namely Ahmed Shah, his son, Mohammed Shah and his grandson, Qutub-Ud-Din Ahmed Shah. Kite Museum - The city of Ahmedabad is popular for the Kite Festival so it doesn’t come as a surprise if you find an entire museum dedicated to kites. The popular Kite Museum that houses some of the rarest kites in the world is a first of its kind in India and second in the world. Sabarmati Ashram - on his return from South Africa, Gandhi’s first Ashram in India was established in the Kochrab area of Ahmedabad on 25 May 1915. The Ashram was then shifted on 17 June 1917 to a piece of open land on the banks of the river Sabarmati. Reasons for this shift included: he wanted to do some experiments in living eg farming, animal husbandry, cow breeding, Khadi and related constructive activities. Shaking Minarets - one of the most unique monuments in Ahmedabad. Located in Siddi Bashir's Mosque near the Sarangpur gate this is one of the beautiful tourist places in the city. Overnight at hotel.
