Mumbai to Nashik Temples & Vineyards

Mumbai to Nashik – approximately 160 km, 3.5–4 hours. We depart Mumbai and drive through Maharashtra’s countryside, passing small towns, green fields and rolling hills on the way to Nashik. On arrival, we check in to the hotel and take a short break. In the afternoon, we visit Sula Vineyards for a guided walk through the vineyards and cellars, followed by a tasting of selected wines with views of the Sahyadri Hills. We then continue to York Winery or Soma Vineyards for another tasting and more panoramic hill scenery. In the evening, you can explore Nashik’s local markets for handicrafts, textiles, spices and souvenirs. We return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, we set out to explore Nashik’s cultural and spiritual heart. We begin at Trimbakeshwar Temple – one of India’s twelve Jyotirlingas – set at the base of the Brahmagiri Hills and revered by pilgrims from across the country.We then continue to Panchavati on the banks of the Godavari River. Here we explore the Kalaram Temple, dedicated to Lord Rama, and Sita Gufa, a cave linked to the stories of Rama’s exile. We take a peaceful stroll along Ramkund, a sacred bathing ghat where many believe a dip purifies the soul.Later, we visit the Pandav Leni Caves, a group of ancient Buddhist caves dating to the 1st century BCE, known for their intricate carvings and inscriptions that offer insight into early Buddhist architecture and the region’s history.In the evening, we return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you have free time to relax or explore Nashik at your own pace – revisit any sights you may have missed or take a final stroll through the city’s scenic streets. In the early afternoon we check out and begin the drive back to Mumbai – approximately 160 km and 3.5 to 4 hours – enjoying the countryside views along the way. We arrive in Mumbai by evening and drop you at your preferred location, bringing your Nashik journey to a close.
