Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, we are met and transferred to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your journey or explore the nearby streets of Kathmandu.
Day 2 - Kathmandu sightseeing

After breakfast, we explore some of Kathmandu Valley’s most important cultural and religious landmarks on a guided tour. We begin at Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world and an important centre of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. Surrounded by monasteries, prayer wheels and traditional shops, the area offers a fascinating insight into local Buddhist culture.
We continue to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most sacred Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Located beside the Bagmati River, the temple complex is known for its traditional pagoda architecture, riverside cremation ghats and centuries of religious history.
Later, we visit Bhaktapur - often called the City of Devotees. This beautifully preserved medieval city is famous for its ancient temples, courtyards and traditional Newari architecture. Highlights include Bhaktapur Durbar Square, the Palace of 55 Windows and the impressive five-storey Nyatapola Temple.
The rest of the day is at leisure for you to prepare for the trek.
Day 3 - Fly to Lukla & Trek to Phakding

An early morning flight takes us to Lukla (2830 m), one of the world’s most dramatic mountain airports. Weather permitting, the flight offers spectacular views of the Himalayan range. On arrival, we begin trekking through small mountain settlements and alongside the Dudh Kosi River. Passing through the village of Ghat, we continue to Phakding.
Flight time: 40 minute
Trekking time: 3-4 hours (2640 m)
Day 4 - Trek to Namche Bazaar

Today, we leave Phakding and follow the trail alongside the Dudh Kosi River, walking through beautiful rhododendron and blue pine forests. During the spring season, the forests are especially colourful and make this one of the most scenic sections of the trek. We cross the river near Benkar and continue through small mountain settlements with excellent views of snow-covered peaks including Kusum Kanguru and Thamserku.
The trail then follows the river valley towards the meeting point of the Dudh Kosi and Bhote Kosi rivers. After crossing one of the high suspension bridges above the river, we begin the steep climb towards Namche Bazaar. Although the ascent is demanding, the mountain scenery becomes increasingly impressive along the way. Weather permitting, we are rewarded with our first clear views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Taweche.
Namche Bazaar is the main trading hub of the Khumbu region and an important centre of Sherpa culture.
Trekking time: 5-6 hours (3440 m)
Day 5 - Acclimatisation in Namche Bazaar

Today is reserved for acclimatisation to help the body adjust to the altitude.
We take a short excursion to the famous Hotel Everest View, one of the highest hotels in the world, offering panoramic views of Everest and surrounding peaks. There is also time to explore Namche Bazaar and learn more about Sherpa culture and life in the Himalayas.
Day 6 - Trek to Tengboche

Today’s trail follows classic Everest scenery with forests, mountain rivers and wide Himalayan views. We descend through the Khumjung area before crossing the Dudh Kosi River at Phunki Tenga. From here, the trail climbs steadily through pine, fir and rhododendron forest towards Tengboche. As we gain altitude, the surrounding mountain scenery becomes increasingly dramatic with clear views of Ama Dablam, Everest and other Himalayan peaks.
Tengboche Monastery is the largest and most important monastery in the Everest region. Set on a ridge beneath Ama Dablam, it is one of the trek’s most scenic and culturally significant stops.
Trekking time: 5-6 hours (3860 m)
Day 7 - Trek to Dingboche

We continue through alpine landscapes as the trail gradually climbs higher into the Khumbu region. The route descends through forest before crossing the Imja Khola River and passing through Pangboche, one of the oldest Sherpa settlements in the area. Throughout the day, Ama Dablam dominates the skyline and remains one of the most striking mountains of the trek.
Beyond Pangboche, the scenery changes noticeably as trees begin to disappear and the terrain becomes more rugged and open. We continue steadily uphill to Dingboche, surrounded by dramatic mountain views and stone-walled fields.
Trekking time: 5 hours (4410 m)
Day 8 - Acclimatisation in Dingboche

A second acclimatisation day helps prepare for the higher elevations ahead.
We hike to Nangkhartshang Peak at 5,083 metres for outstanding views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Nuptse and surrounding Himalayan ranges. The remainder of the day is free to rest and enjoy the mountain scenery.
Day 9 - Trek to Lobuche

Today’s route follows the Khumbu Valley towards the glacier moraine. After passing Dughla, the trail climbs steadily alongside memorials dedicated to climbers and Sherpas who lost their lives on Everest. We continue along the edge of the Khumbu Glacier before reaching Lobuche.
Trekking time: 5 hours (4920 m)
Day 10 - Trek to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep

We trek to Gorakshep before continuing across rocky glacial terrain to Everest Base Camp. Standing at the base of the world’s highest mountain is an unforgettable experience. During the climbing season, colourful expedition camps can often be seen spread across the glacier. After time at Base Camp, we return to Gorakshep for the night.
Trekking time: 7-8 hours (Everest Base Camp - 5364 m & Gorakshep - 5164 m)
Day 11 - Kala Patthar sunrise & Trek to Pheriche

Early this morning, we hike to Kala Patthar at 5,545 metres - the highest point of the journey. From here, we enjoy spectacular panoramic sunrise views over Everest, Nuptse, Pumori and the surrounding Himalayan giants.
After descending to Gorakshep for breakfast, we continue downhill through Thukla and the wide valley to Pheriche.
Trekking time: 6-7 hours (Kala Patthar - 5545 m & Pheriche - 4240 m)
Day 12 - Return Trek to Namche Bazaar

Our return journey continues downhill through Pangboche and Tengboche before retracing our route to Namche Bazaar. With the lower altitude, the walk becomes more comfortable and offers another chance to enjoy the mountain scenery.
Trekking time: 6 hours
Day 13 - Final Trek to Lukla
We follow the trail back along the Dudh Kosi River through Phakding before making the final climb to Lukla.
This evening, we celebrate the completion of the trek with the trekking crew and fellow travellers.
Trekking time: 6-7 hours
