Essential Bolivia Explorer
New
Set off in La Paz and wrap up there eight days later – this adventurous loop dives deep into Bolivia’s wild southwest. Fly to Uyuni and swap to 4x4s to roam the otherworldly salt flats, pausing on cactus dotted Incahuasi Island and for a golden sunset. You’ll explore Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve – think lagoons with flamingos in surreal colours, steaming geysers and a dip at Polques Thermal Baths – and sleep in a hotel made of salt. Expect to see the Train Cemetery, wind carved rock valleys and mirror calm pans. History buffs will enjoy Potosí’s mining heritage and a taste of colonial Sucre en route back to La Paz.
