India Group Tours

Our group tours in India don't miss a thing. Our classic itineraries take in the Golden Triangle, which is made up of Delhi, Jaipur, and Agra - home to the Taj Mahal. It's the classic itinerary for a first-time visitor to India, especially if you throw in the tiger parks of Rajasthan, the northern city of Amritsar, or a beach break in Goa. We have a dedicated family tour too, for those travelling with youngsters!

Returning travellers may prefer to take the road less travelled. The lush Kerala Backwaters or the southern cities of Kochi, Tanjore, and Madurai are great options for second time visitors to the country.

India Festival Tours

Those who want to fully embrace Indian culture may want to join one of our two festival tours in India. Every March our Holi tour takes in the Golden Triangle and joins the festivities to celebrate the Festival of Colour.

And each October or November, depending on the year, we celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Light, with another special Golden Triangle departure. Find out more below and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

India Private Tours

If you prefer the idea of a private tour of India to a group tour, we can help! TGaj Express - 8 Days

I've just come back from the Taj Express tour in India. It was amazing!

Our tour leader Yusuf was the best. So knowledgeable, kind and one of life's gentlemen. The tour was the right balance of sightseeing and time out. The hotels were a great blend of old and new. I highly recommend On The Go and will definitely be using your company again.

Holi, Festival of Colour - 8 Days

There was always someone to meet us at the destinations. Tour guide Mahi was knowledgable and cared about our wellbeing. We had a great group and we all got on well. This was the first time I had visited India and it has left me with the most wonderful memories I just want to go back. We also did a tour the week before and again the tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. They also asked us what we wanted to do and never rushed us.

Protecting tigers in India

On some of our tours in India, travellers have the opportunity to visit Ranthambore National Park, one of the country's premier tiger parks. On three included game drives you will have a great chance to spot these enigmatic big cats. India is home to around 3,000 wild tigers, and while this number is increasing thanks to conservation efforts, it remains historically low. This is why we partnered with Travel Operators for Tigers (TOFTigers), to help protect the species through sustainable tourism.

TOFTigers

The aim of Travel Operators for Tigers is to find a sustainable way for people and wildlife to coexist within the tourism sector. They believe that "developing more sustainable enterprises and providing viable long-term solutions – that create real economic benefit – are critical to rural communities, especially those living in and around parks, sanctuaries, and wildernesses across South Asia".

TOFTigers work with hotels, tour operators, and other businesses in the sector to achieve PUG certification, which is a measure of sustainability.

PUG-certified

PUG-certified businesses help nature thrive by supporting ecotourism, and providing nature-friendly jobs for local communities. TOFTigers also advocate nature protection with governments and other interest groups, and they run an annual Wildlife Travel Awards.

We have been partnered with TOFTigers for 15 years, and we make a donation to them for every traveller on our Golden Triangle & Tigers tour, helping to preserve wild tigers and their habitat for future generations. Visit TOFTigers website for more information about their work.
