Day 1 - San Jose
Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport, you will be welcomed by a local representative and transferred to your hotel in San José. The remainder of the day is yours to relax and settle in at your own pace. Overnight stay in San José.
Day 2 - San Jose - La Fortuna
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we depart for La Fortuna de San Carlos, the gateway to the impressive Arenal Volcano. Upon arrival, the rest of the day is yours to relax and explore at your own pace. Alternatively, you may choose to take an optional tour to La Fortuna Waterfall. This involves a 500-metre descent along a trail through lush vegetation, leading to the spectacular 60-metre waterfall with its clear, refreshing pool. You can swim, photograph, or simply enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Entrance fees support local community projects, including schools and nutritional centres. Overnight accommodation is in Arenal.
Day 3 - La Fortuna
After breakfast, enjoy a full day of adventure in Arenal. We offer a choice of activities to suit your interests. Join the Arenal Volcano 1968 Hike, where you will explore trails along the base and flanks of the volcano, including the 1968 lava flows—remnants of its most recent major eruption. Your expert guide will share insights into the volcano’s history, activity, and local wildlife, while you take in spectacular views. Alternatively, experience the Arenal Hanging Bridges, located just 4 kilometres away within a 250-hectare primary forest reserve. Cross 15 suspension bridges ranging from 5 to 100 metres in length, walk along cobblestone trails designed to prevent slipping, and admire an 18-metre waterfall. A specialist guide will introduce you to the rainforest’s rich biodiversity and provide stunning vistas of Arenal Volcano. Overnight in Arenal.
Day 4 - Puntarenas
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Monteverde, renowned for its mystical cloud forest and rich biodiversity—a true haven for nature enthusiasts. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore or relax. Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional guided hike through the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. This trail stretches over 13 kilometres and offers the unique experience of standing on the Continental Divide, with views of both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts. The reserve is home to towering trees adorned with diverse epiphytes, providing a remarkable insight into this exceptional ecosystem. Overnight in Monteverde.
Day 5 - Quepos
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out. At the arranged time, we transfer to Manuel Antonio Beach on the Central Pacific Coast. The rest of the day is yours to relax and make the most of the hotel’s facilities. Alternatively, you may choose to join an optional Jungle Night Walk – a two-hour guided tour through the nocturnal tropical wet forest, where you can encounter a variety of wildlife including frogs, lizards, mammals, insects, spiders, snakes and birds, while immersing yourself in the unique sounds of the rainforest at night. Overnight in Manuel Antonio.
Day 6 - Quepos
Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel before spending the day discovering the natural beauty of Manuel Antonio. You may choose to join one of the optional tours available. On the Catamaran Adventure, set sail from Quepos’ Marina Pez Vela along the coastline bordering Manuel Antonio National Park. Keep your camera ready to capture marine life, islands and rock formations as your guide points out notable wildlife and vegetation. The boat will anchor at Biesanz Bay for snorkelling or relaxing onboard, with a barbecue lunch and refreshments served during the trip. Alternatively, the Kayaking Tour at Damas Island offers a peaceful paddle through mangrove canals beneath a lush forest canopy. Spot diverse bird species, reptiles and monkeys while your guide shares insights into this unique ecosystem. Lunch is provided either before or after the kayaking, depending on the tides. Overnight in Manuel Antonio.
Day 7 - Manuel Antonio - San Jose
After breakfast, we transfer you back to San José for your final night in Costa Rica. The rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and enjoy the hotel’s amenities before your departure.
Day 8 - San Jose
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before your transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport at the agreed time for your departure flight home.
