Upon arrival in San Jose, you will be met at the airport by our representative who will assist with your luggage and transfer you to your hotel. Settle in and prepare for the adventures ahead. Overnight stay in San Jose.

At the arranged time, shared transport will collect you for the journey to Tortuguero in the North Caribbean region. Upon arrival, you will board a boat that takes you to the lodge, where you can settle into a peaceful and relaxed setting. After checking in, enjoy a included lunch before joining a guided nature walk along the lodge’s private tropical trails. This walk offers the chance to spot local wildlife such as reptiles, birds and mammals, with monkeys commonly seen in the area. In the evening, savour dinner at the lodge and spend the night in Tortuguero.

Rise early to join your guide for a boat tour through the Tortuguero Canals, a highlight of this region. Explore the intricate network of waterways, lagoons and dense rainforest, while spotting abundant wildlife including numerous species of amphibians, reptiles and mammals. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, spend the afternoon visiting the charming village of Tortuguero. With a population of around 500 and no cars, the village sits on a narrow strip of land between the beach and a canal. Take a leisurely walk to experience the local Caribbean culture and way of life. After breakfast at the lodge, check out and prepare to continue your journey. We provide a shared transfer combining boat and land travel from Tortuguero to the Guapiles region. From there, you will take another shared transfer to La Fortuna de San Carlos, the gateway to the impressive Arenal Volcano. Lunch is included en route. Upon arrival, settle into your room and enjoy the hotel’s facilities at your leisure. Overnight in Arenal.

Breakfast is included at the hotel. Today, we take a guided hike around the base and slopes of the impressive Arenal Volcano within Arenal 1968 Park. Your expert guide will share insights into the volcano’s history, its periods of activity, and point out notable landmarks formed over the years. Along the way, you’ll enjoy stunning views and have the chance to spot local wildlife, making this a memorable Costa Rican experience. Later in the afternoon, unwind in the nearby thermal springs, where you can alternate between warm and cool pools to relax and rejuvenate. Overnight in Arenal.

After breakfast and checkout, we travel to the enchanting Monteverde cloud forest. This journey combines a scenic pontoon boat ride of around 30 to 40 minutes across Lake Arenal to Rio Chiquito, followed by a 1.5-hour bus transfer to Monteverde—please note that travel times may be longer during the rainy season. The total transfer takes approximately three and a half hours. Upon arrival, spend the afternoon at Selvatura Park, where you can explore the cloud forest canopy via suspension bridges and platforms, offering a safe and accessible way to experience this unique ecosystem. After breakfast, check out of your hotel and at the arranged time, take a shared transfer to Tamarindo. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and prepare to enjoy the coastal atmosphere. Overnight in Tamarindo.

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day at your leisure in Tamarindo. You can relax on the beach beneath the palm trees or explore the vibrant town and its nearby attractions at your own pace. Overnight in Tamarindo.

After breakfast, we will arrange a private transfer from your hotel to Juan Santamaría International Airport for your onward flight home.
