Welcome to Florence! On arrival, you'll be met at the airport and a private transfer will take you to the hotel. Your first evening in Florence is at leisure.
Please note: Although this is a private tour, the included day trip to Siena and San Gimignano on day 3 will be conducted as a group tour, shared with other travellers.
After breakfast at the hotel, get ready to experience Florence through its rich cuisine. Starting from the very heart of the city, your local guide will lead you on a delicious journey, revealing hidden corners and curiosities that only Florentines know.
Begin your culinary adventure the Italian way, with a caffè al bancone - an espresso at the counter - accompanied by a typical sweet pastry. From there, follow your guide past the Renaissance Loggia del Pesce and into the lively Sant’Ambrogio district, home to Florence’s most charming and historic market.
Wander through the bustling stalls of Sant’Ambrogio Market, where locals shop for fresh meat, fish, cheese, fruit, and vegetables. Sample a range of Tuscan specialities and enjoy a glass of Chianti wine as you soak up the authentic atmosphere.
Leaving the market, you’ll stroll through quaint streets to your next stop - the iconic All’Antico Vinaio. Skip the queues and enjoy a tasting of their famous schiacciata, widely regarded as the best in the world.
The tour continues through Piazza della Signoria, where grand Renaissance statues offer the perfect backdrop to conclude your walk. Your food tour ends back at the starting point - but not before a final, sweet and refreshing surprise. The evening is at leisure in Florence
Florence - Siena - San Gimignano - Florence. After breakfast at your hotel, join your small group tour to discover two Tuscan gems and an ancient winery. Begin with a guided walking tour of Siena, one of Italy’s most captivating medieval cities. A knowledgeable local guide will lead you through the city’s narrow streets, revealing its history and character as you make your way to the iconic Piazza del Campo - a stunning shell-shaped square where the famed Palio horse race is held twice a year. Admire the elegant Cathedral of Siena and the striking Torre del Mangia, which defines the skyline.
After the tour, enjoy some free time to explore Siena at your own pace before continuing through the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside, with postcard-perfect views of olive groves, vineyards, and stone farmhouses. You’ll stop at a family-run wine estate, beautifully situated among the vines and trees. Here, relax and savour a traditional Tuscan lunch, served with warm hospitality. Dishes may include local cold cuts, salami, cheese, bruschetta, homemade pasta or soup, salad, and dessert - all paired with the estate’s own wines, extra virgin olive oil, and a glass of vin santo, Tuscany’s famous dessert wine.
In the afternoon, arrive in the hilltop village of San Gimignano, known for its medieval towers and timeless charm. You’ll have free time to wander the main street lined with artisan shops, visit the Collegiata (the main church), or enjoy a scoop of gelato from one of Italy’s most renowned gelaterias. Return to Florence in the early evening.
Tuck into a final breakfast at the hotel before check out. A private transfer will take you to the airport or rail station for your onward journey. Safe travels!
