Day 1 - Naples
Upon arrival in Naples, make your own way to the hotel and check in. A transfer service is available as an optional extra. Spend the night in Naples.
Day 2 - Naples
After breakfast at the hotel, spend the day exploring Naples at your own pace. Savour authentic Neapolitan pizza at renowned pizzerias such as Sorbillo or Da Michele. Wander through the historic centre along Spaccanapoli, where you can visit landmarks like San Gregorio Armeno and Naples Cathedral. Discover the city’s underground network on the Naples Underground tour, revealing ancient tunnels and structures that reflect Naples’ rich past. Alternatively, join the National Geographic-guided History of Pasta tour (Fridays, February to November), which includes a scenic bus ride along the Bay of Naples beneath Mount Vesuvius. Visit the Valley of the Mills with a local historian, tour a traditional pasta factory, experience Gragnano’s heritage through virtual reality, and participate in a hands-on pasta-making session with Nonna Giuseppina. The tour concludes with a farm-to-table pasta lunch. Please note this tour is not suitable for wheelchairs or those with gluten sensitivities. On Saturdays from February to October, you may prefer the National Geographic Spartacus’ World tour at Ancient Capua. Explore the well-preserved amphitheatre, including the rarely accessible hypogeum and gladiator’s room, enhanced by an exclusive augmented reality experience. The tour finishes with a lunch prepared from local organic produce. This option is also not wheelchair accessible.Both tours include transport and an English-speaking guide, departing from outside Hotel Ramada By Wyndham. Overnight in Naples.
Day 3 - Naples
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a day at your leisure. You might choose to explore the Naples National Archaeological Museum, which houses an impressive collection of artefacts from Pompeii, Herculaneum and other nearby archaeological sites. Alternatively, you can join an optional culinary and wine tasting experience. For those interested, the National Geographic A Taste of Tramonti and Pizza Making Experience offers a full-day tour starting at 8:30 am (operating Mondays from February to October). This journey takes you along the Bay of Naples beneath Mount Vesuvius, through the Monte Lattari and Valle dei Chiunzi regions to the charming hamlets of Tramonti. Your guide will share insights into local culture and history as you visit the garden of Acarbio, an association dedicated to the Amalfi Coast’s bid to become a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The day concludes at a rural agritourism venue where a skilled pizza chef will lead a hands-on pizza-making workshop, followed by a lunch featuring your own creations. Transport, guide, pizza-making class and lunch are included. Please note this tour is not suitable for wheelchair users.Overnight in Naples.
Day 4 - Naples
After breakfast, enjoy some final moments in Naples. If time allows, take a last stroll to bid farewell to the city or pick up any last-minute souvenirs. Be sure to savour one final sfogliatella, a local pastry speciality. Transfers to the airport or train station can be arranged as an optional extra.
