Day 1 - Welcome
Welcome to Bergen, a vibrant city Norwegian city! Bergen boasts a rich history dating back over 900 years when it first emerged as a humble trading post. With time, it grew into a flourishing maritime city and an essential hub on Norway's western coast.
Upon your arrival at the airport, make your own way to the hotel. After check-in, the remainder of the day is yours to explore the city at your own pace.
Transfer by shuttle bus from Oslo/Gardermoen airport to Oslo city centre can be pre-booked in advance, please enquire if you would like to pre book this.
Day 2 - Brilliant Bergen
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a self-guided tour of Bergen's charming sights. Explore iconic landmarks such as the Hanseatic Bryggen, featuring the Mary Church, the Hakon Fortress, and the renowned fish market. Don't miss the opportunity to ride the Fløibanen Funicular to the top of Mountain Fløyen for a panoramic view of the city. Additionally, consider visiting attractions like the Rosenkrantz Tower, St. Mary Church, Norwegian Fisheries Museum, Horda Museum, and Fantoft Stave Church.
Day 3 - Wonderful Flam
Bergen - Flam. Start your day with a stroll to the Bergen railway station, where you'll board a train bound for Voss, a renowned sports hub in Norway. Upon reaching Voss, transfer to a shuttle bus that will transport you through breathtaking snowy mountains and picturesque landscapes to Gudvangen.
Upon arrival in Gudvangen, take some time for lunch and opt to explore the Viking Village, an open-air museum where you can travel back in time to the Viking age.
Afterward, continue by shuttle bus to Flåm, where you will stay for the next two nights.
Day 4 - RIB Boat Safari and Viking Dinner
This morning, you have the option to either enjoy some leisure time or join a guided snowshoe hike, which includes a stop at the breathtaking Stegastein Viewpoint.
Later in the day, embark on an unforgettable RIB boat safari to explore the natural wonders of Aurlandsfjorden and parts of the UNESCO listed Nærøyfjorden. Experience the fjords up close, passing by small villages and waterfalls as your professional guide shares tales and historical insights. Safety gear will be provided.
In the evening, indulge in Ægir’s Viking Dinner at Ægir Brewpub. Enjoy a 5-course beer and food plank featuring delicacies such as salmon tartar, slow-cooked deer, creamy tomato and coconut soup, braised shoulder of local lamb, and dark chocolate cake. Each dish is expertly paired with one of Ægir's unique beers to enhance the dining experience.
Day 5 - Onward to Oslo
Flam - Oslo. Start your day with breakfast before embarking on your morning journey. Depart from the hotel and head to Myrdal by train. Myrdal station serves as a junction for various railway lines.
Once in Myrdal, board the renowned Flåmsbana, famously known as one of the steepest train lines globally. This remarkable train journey traverses through breathtaking landscapes, including the Rallar road, steep mountains, magnificent waterfalls, and an impressive array of tunnels. Throughout this part of the journey, an audio guide is available.
Upon reaching Myrdal, transfer to the Bergen Railway, which will take you to the final destination of your journey: the Norwegian capital, Oslo. Upon arrival in Oslo, make your way to the hotel to check in and unwind.
Day 6 - Oslo on your own
Today is yours to explore Oslo! You have the option to discover the city at your own pace or join our optional Panorama tour, a 3-hour guided excursion by coach led by a local guide.
During the tour, you'll visit iconic landmarks such as the Holmenkollen Ski Jump and take a guided stroll through the renowned Vigeland Sculpture Park. Alternatively, if you prefer to explore independently, there are plenty of attractions to discover in Oslo. Some highlights include Akershus Castle, Oslo City Hall, the Fram Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Munch Museum, the National History Museum, and the Nobel Peace Center, among others.
Day 7 - Goodbye
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. After hotel check out, make your own way to the airport for your departure. Contact us if you would like to pre-book a departure shuttle bus transfer. Safe travels!

Experience the beautiful morning light from high above the fjord! The trip begins by minibus along the Aurlandfjord and up to the spectacular viewpoint Stegastein, 650 meters above main sea level. Along the way your local guide will explain about life on the mountain farms as you pass them , and you are sure to see places you would not expect people to be able to live. On arrival you will be introduced to the art of walking on snowshoes and will hear the history behind them. All while the guide will tell you all about the dramatic nature, winter by the fjord and the special culture in the area. You will have several opportunities to see the fjord far beneath you, the tiny village of Undredal, Flåm and the white mountain tops surrounding the entire fjord. At the turning point you will be served hot beverages and can take in the quiet and unique beauty of the area, the photo opportuneties are many. The hike will take about 1-1,5 hours. Before the bus takes you back to Flåm there will be a stop at the viewpoint Stegastein. Notes: Warm clothing /layers are recommended. Not recommended for children under 6 years old.
