Day 1 - Nairobi
After landing at Nairobi International Airport, we meet you and arrange your transfer to the Panari Hotel or a similar property. The afternoon is at leisure – you can relax and make use of the hotel’s facilities, or head into Nairobi’s city centre, a few kilometres away, to get acquainted with your surroundings. Overnight in Nairobi.
Day 2 - Nairobi - Serena
After breakfast and a safari briefing, we leave Nairobi for the fertile highlands, descending the Rift escarpment on the road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. En route we look out for the small chapel at the foot of the escarpment and pass the Longonot Earth satellite station before crossing the valley to Narok. We continue through sweeping fields of wheat and barley, reaching the Maasai Mara in time for lunch. In the afternoon we set out on our first game drive, returning to camp as the sun sets.We stay at Sentrim Mara inside the Maasai Mara Game Reserve – 3 km beyond Sekenani Gate – where 31 tents are set among acacia trees. Each tent has an en suite bathroom, hot and cold showers, a writing desk and an elevated private balcony with views of the surrounding hills. Dinner is served at the lodge in the evening. Overnight in Maasai Mara.
Day 3 - Serena
After an early breakfast, we head out on a morning game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve – home to the Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and black rhinos), along with antelopes, gazelles and wildebeest. We return to the lodge for lunch – you can rest before we set off on an afternoon game drive and visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about local customs. We arrive back at the lodge as the sun sets, and dinner is served at the lodge. Overnight in Maasai Mara.
Day 4 - Elementaita
