Day 2 - Explore Capri
Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento. This morning, we board our boat in Sorrento and cross the bay to the island of Capri. As we sail, our guide will share stories about the island’s history and culture. Once we arrive, you have free time to explore at your own pace. You might choose to relax on the beach, wander through Capri town, visit the Blue Grotto, or take the chairlift up to Mount Solaro if you’d like to enjoy sweeping coastal views.
Later in the afternoon, we return towards Sorrento and stop at a natural pool beside ancient ruins, where you can take a refreshing swim as the sun goes down. The rest of the evening is yours to spend as you prefer.
Please note: Boat departures to Capri may be cancelled if sea or weather conditions are unsafe. Should this happen, you will be given free time to enjoy your day in and around Sorrento instead.
Day 3 - Amalfi Coast
Sorrento - Positano - Amalfi - Sorrento. Today we set off along the Amalfi Coast, following one of Italy’s most impressive coastal roads. Our first stop is Amalfi, where you have free time to discover the town for yourself — you can visit the cathedral, spend time on the beach or sample local treats in the historic centre.
In the afternoon, we continue to Positano, known for its colourful houses built into the hillside and pebble beach. You have several hours here to swim, explore the narrow streets or browse the small boutiques.
We then return to Sorrento, and the evening is free for you to enjoy a relaxed dinner, pick up souvenirs or simply take in the views over the Bay of Naples.
Please note: For smaller groups, this day may be run by boat instead of by road, offering a different perspective of the coastline.
Day 4 - Naples & Florence
Sorrento - Naplesx - Florence. This morning, we leave Sorrento and travel north to Naples. Our guide leads an orientation walk through the centre, taking in major spots such as Piazza del Plebiscito and the San Carlo Theatre, while giving an introduction to the city’s character and history. Afterwards, you’ll have free time to try an authentic Neapolitan pizza for lunch from one of the many pizzerias in town.
In the afternoon we board a high-speed train to Florence. After check-in, we head out together on a welcome walk through the historic centre, where we see some of the city’s key landmarks and riverside views. The rest of the evening is yours to explore Florence further, find a trattoria for dinner or enjoy a drink in one of the city’s bars. If you wish, you can also join an optional traditional Florentine aperitivo, with drinks and local snacks before dinner.
Day 5 - Heart of Tuscany
Florence - Tuscany - San Gimignano - Florence. This morning we travel into the Tuscan countryside, heading into the Chianti region. As we drive through the rolling hills, our guide will share stories about the area’s wine traditions and rural life.
We stop at a local winery to learn about the production process and enjoy a tasting of Chianti wines. If you would like to elevate the experience, you can choose a wine-and-food pairing to try regional dishes alongside the wines.
In the afternoon we continue to San Gimignano, known for its medieval towers and views over the surrounding countryside. You have time to explore at your own pace, browse the artisan shops or treat yourself to gelato from one of the town’s historic ice-cream parlours before we return to Florence. The evening is then free for you to relax or find a favourite spot for dinner.
Day 6 - Iconic Landmarks & Seaside Villages
Florence - Pisa - Cinque Terre - Florence. Today we travel by train from Florence to Pisa. On arrival, you have time to visit the famous Leaning Tower and see the Cathedral and Baptistery in the Piazza dei Miracoli.
We then continue by train towards the Ligurian coast to visit some of the villages of Cinque Terre. During the day, we stop in places such as Riomaggiore, Vernazza or Manarola, where you can explore the narrow lanes, enjoy the sea views, browse local shops or, if you wish, take a short coastal walk for panoramic views. You may also choose to sample fresh seafood or enjoy a glass of local white wine overlooking the water.
In the evening we return to Florence.
Day 7 - Departure from Florence
You will check out of your accommodation before 10:00 am. You’re welcome to leave your bags at reception and make the most of your final hours in Florence — you might choose to visit a museum, wander through the historic streets one last time or enjoy a final gelato.
